NO BUGS ON ME !

Monday was the day from hell!! Lucas had meltdown after meltdown . So, when his daddy came home from work , I sent him outside with his daddy . I thought I would let him run out his energy before bedtime .
The baby was not feeling well , he is cutting teeth , so he was not happy that day as well . I was getting him ready for bed while Lucas was out playing with the dog . My husband was out putting an exercise machine together in the garage . It was not long after letting Lucas out , I felt I needed to go out and check on him . He was talking to his dad and playing , so I came back inside . A few more minutes went by and I felt I needed to go back out there to see what the little guy was up too . Good thing I did !! He had the bug spray and was spraying on him . He saw me and yelled " Help me , Help me ! " It looked like he may have sprayed some in his face and maybe his mouth !!!! Not taking any chances , my husband called 911 while I ran inside , washed Lucas off and rinsed out his mouth . The operator looked up the brand of bug spray and found that it did not harm humans . Thank God !!!! I gave Lucas a good bath , brushed his teeth and put him to bed . My husband hid the bug spray in a better place . Hopefully Lucas will not find it again .
You can watch your kids very close , think they are OK and in a blink of an eye , they can get into trouble ! Wish we had more eyes to watch them . Thank God for that still small voice inside and that I listened to it !

MODERN FAMILY

I remember Sat. mornings when I was a kid . I would get up early so that I did not miss Scooby Doo or Bugs Bunny . Mom would always make Pancakes . Around 9:00 , we would clean the house and have lunch ready for my Dad by 1:oo ,on the Sat. he worked. On the ones he was off , we would get the car packed up and head off to my Grandparents house in Colorado . Those where fun times !
Now I get up to find a whole new world . The family is on the computer , texing someone , on the cell talking , listening to I pods or playing PlayStation . And most do not even know what Breakfast is . I try not to let my house be ran like this . But this is how most Americans are on week-ends now days . Gone are the family times , gone are them going to church together . Most can not even name the 10 commandments ( or even three of them ) But they can name all the beers out there . This is very sad . We need to get back to the basics of life !

I am so sick of people saying that I don't have a "real" job and in it is not fair to my husband , that I stay home , while he "works ". ( Mainly my in- laws ., they keep pushing for me to go back to work . ) Staying home raising my kids is a real job . And I would say the hardest one I have ever had . ( I have done lots of retail , cosmetology , Rx Tech , been a pre- school teacher , been a piano teacher and a babysitter ) So, yes , I have " worked ".
I love staying home with my boys . And if you don't think I work , well here are some of the hats I wear . I am a teacher, a cook , a nurse , a child care person , house cleaner , seamstress , a counselor , animal care taker ( we have a cat and a dog ) , gardener , handy man , wife , a mother , a lover , and a friend . I am up at 5:30 ever morning and go to bed around 10:oo . Non-stop from the time I get up until the time I go to bed . So, I say ..... stop saying it is not fair that I don't have to work !!!!

FLASH BACKS

For some reason , lately I have been thinking of the past a lot . Maybe it is the fact that it has been 19 years since graduation ; or summer just has that effect on me . Summers where the best !!! I think the summers of my high school years were by far the best times ever ! Sometimes i wish i could go back . Of coarse i would chance up a few things . Like what would have happened if that high school crush had worked out for the summer ? Would memories still been bittersweet ? Or what if i had met my husband back then ? Would we have gotten married at a younger age ?
The summer I had the best time , was my 16th year . Me and my best friend had so much fun !! chasing boys , late night talks , dreaming of Jon Bon Jovi , putting orange cones across her street , going to Connie mack . So, much fun !!!
Now I seat and listen to Bon Jovi's new song " Do You Want to make A memory " and Nickel back " Photograph " and think back to those good 'ol days .
I hope my boys have such good times and memories when they grow up . After all , life is about making memories !!

TOMBSTONE , AZ IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO GO TO . IT IS FULL OF HISTORY . I KNOW SOME MSY THINK THAT THE O.K. CORRAL SHOOT OUT WAS JUST A STORY , BUT IT REALLY HAPPENED . WHYTE EARP AND DOC HOLIDAY WHERE REAL PEOPLE .

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM

I have the ultimate fantasy !!!! Being able to go to the bathroom by myself ( my 3 year old always manages to come in ) and to take a bath without the help of my 3 year old ! That is my biggest and most desired dream at this moment and time . :)

A CHILL DOWN THE SPINE

One thing I love about living here , in Arizona , is all the history . There is so many cool things here . I love the fact , that the " real " cowboys and Indians where right here . Like Whyte Herp , Doc Holiday , Geronimo , and many others .

I live in the Black Hills , in a small miner town called Morenci . As you can guess , there are lots of ghost stories . The town down from me , is Clifton . It still looks like a ghost town today . Down in the cliffs is an old jail cell . This is where the outlaws were held . This was the first jail here in this little town . You can walk down to it and take pictures today .

My sister in-law came down here to visit us from PA . in March . So, I took here down to see this jail cell . This was also my first time to walk down into it . It was the creepiset place I have ever been into . I swear that there were ghost in it !!! It was cold and just gave you those chills like you get from watching a scary movie . Moths were everywhere !!!! And you could still see the skackels !

LETTING THE SON SHINE

Growing up in the 80's , one of my fave. show to watch was " Growing Pains " . Yes , I was one of the many girls that had a crush on Kirk Cameron . It is so nice to see that he is now a Christian and not one of those childhood stars gone wild .

He is a great inspiration with the way he takes a stand for Christ . My husband and I love to watch his and Ray Comfort's show " The Way Of The Master " . It has helped us so much so that , my husband uses this in his everyday life . He also preaches it in his sermons .

MY BOYS ON MOTHERS DAY

WHAT COUNTRY DID YOU SAY THIS IS ?

I thought here in America , we had the freedom of religon . That is the main reason our forefathers sailed here from England , so we would have this Freedom ! However , in the U. S. today , things are trying to change . It seems that congress is at it again . This time trying to pass a very scary law . A law forbitting anyone from saying anything against sexual inmoralality . The want to make it so that if this is preached on , or heard talked about in public , that you will be fined $5o,000 dollars or sent to prison . This is insane !!!!! If this passes , it would make it alright for some sick person to garb your child and have their way with them . You would not be able to do a darn thing about it . It would also make it legal for people to have sex in public ( meaning , gays and straight people , and child pretitors ) We need to be in prayer that this SICK LAW does NOT pass !!!!!! If it does it will make all wrong right . This sickens me that our country would even think of trying to pass such a thing !!!!!

Florida trip

I am back and some what jet lagged . The three hours between here and Florida are still effecting me . Our trip went well. There seemed to be a BIG healing between me and my in-laws . The acted wonderful !
We got into Orlando 12:30 A.M. last Sat. and then rented a jeep and drove an hour and a half to St. Petersburg . Why not fly into Tampa ? Well , my father-in laws Grad was at 10 in the moring and we thought it would be easier to be there , instead of driving in with no sleep . a few hours of sleep was better then none .
The boys and I stayed at the hotel during Grad . No way was I going to take my three year old to a long Grad . After ,we all went out to eat ,( oh , fresh sea food ..yum yum ). Then we drove to see my husbands Grandma . next , off to the mall I used to work at . All new faces at Macy's , it was Burdines when I worked there. By 9 we where in bed . zzzzzzz
Got up and left for Orando around 8:00 A.M. We stayed there because we got an awesome deal on a resort with Disney tickets . ( Westgate resort ; $179 for two nights and three days , two free Disney tickets ) It was a great place to stay ! Can hook you up if you wish !:)
Finally made it to MGM ! I love that park !!! We took Lucas to Play And Dine ( lunch with Playhouse Disney ) My in-laws paid , Thank God , it was not cheap but worth every dime .
We rode Star Wars ride , saw High School musical pep - rally , Narina , lots of charaters , and rode the coolest roller coaster ( Areosmith )
All went well there except for Lucas having the biggest fit ever !!!! Very embarssing . Can't do anything about it in public . So. we had to just deal with it !
Got up the next day and went to M&M world . Then shopping in down town Disney . My husband went diving at Epcot while the boys and I rested .
The next day we went to Sea World and more shopping . Then back to pack and go to bed .
The next morning up and to the airplane .
Next stop , home sweet home ! Whew !!!!!

HOME SWEET HOME

we made it back home , Wed. afternoon . Our trip went very well . I will post more on it later . Just leave you with a crazy thing . Gas in Orlando , was $3.99 a Gallon !!!!! Yes ...... That's right we paid $3.99 a gallon to fill up our rental !!!!!! This is getting INSANE !!!!

A MONSTER

Last night , after tucking in my three year old , he began to call out . " Ma Ma , help me . A monster ." My husbamd and I went into his room to get the monster out . My husband hit the floor yelling for it to leave . I called for to leave also . My son began to say " no , no " , and craweled under the bed . He then pulled out his cookie monster houseshoe . " Here it is ", he said ," the monster out ."

WIZ KID

The other day , we where driving along and came to a stop sign . My little 3 year old says ' " Look Ma Ma , an octagon . What ??? Then I realized , he was talking about the shape of the sign ! Very scary ..... I never have told him that one before .

DON'T MAKE ME GO !

Next week-end , my husband , two boys , and myself , will be headed off to FL . My Father - in - law is receiving his Masters . So , my Mother - in - law bought us air plane tickets to go to St. Petersburg, FL. I do not want to go . ( pout , pout ) Why , you ask . Well , I don't care for my Father - in - law . Many reasons why . As not to embarrass my family I will not go into details.

The plan is to go to the graduation ,then head off to Disney World . This part I am looking forward too. All except , my in-laws will be tagging along .:( It seems that they always manage to be a part of our vacations . Even on our honey- moon . ( Not the night but the next day , they all showed up ) They make me crazy !!!!!! I wish just for once , we could have family vacation with just the four of us . Is that to much to ask for ?

Wish me luck ! A 7 month old and a three year old on the plane will not be fun !!!

My 7 MONTH OLD SON, JEREMY , LOVES MUSIC. HE MOVES HIS LITTLE FEET AND SMILES WHEN A SONG COMES ON HE LIKES . THE FUNNY THING IS , HE SEEMS TO BE SINGING IN BABY LANGUAGE . AND HE IS SOMETIMES RIGHT ON KEY WITH THE MUSIC ! I GUESS IT RUNS IN THE GENS . TAKING AFTER HIS DADDY AND MOMMY. WE BOTH SING AND PLAY THE PIANO . MY HUSBAND CAN PLAY ANY INSTRUMENT AND PLAYS BY EAR . MAYBE JEREMY IS GOING TO TAKE AFTER HIM .

EASTER COOKIES WITH A MESSAGE

I found this last night and though it was really awesome .

Easter Cookies

1 cup whole pecans
1 teaspoon vinegar
3 egg whites
pinch of salt
1 cup sugar
zipper baggie
wooden spoon
tape
Bible

Preheat oven to 300 degrees

1. place pecans in the baggie and let kids beat them with the wooden spoon to break them into pieces. Explain that after Jesus was arrested , He was beaten by the Roman soldiers.
Read John 19 : 1-3
2. Put the vinegar into a mixing bowl . Let each child smell the vinegar. Explain that when Jesus was on the cross and became thirsty , He was offered vinegar to drink.
Read John 19 :28-30
3. Add the egg whites to the vinegar. The eggs represent life. Explain that Jesus gave His life so that we could have life.
read John 10:10-11
4. Sprinkle a little salt into each child's hand and let them taste it. Put the rest into the bowl. Explain that this represents the salty tears shed by Jesus' followers, and the bitterness of our sins.
Read Luke 23:27
5. So far the ingredients are not very appetizing. Add 1 cup of sugar. Explain that the sweetest part of the story is that Jesus died because He loves us. He wants us to know and belong to Him.
read Psalms34:8 and John 3:16
6. beat the egg whites with a mixer on high speed for 12 10 15 minutes , until stiff peaks form. Explain that the color white represents the purity in God's eyes of those whose sins have been cleansed by Jesus.
Read Isa.1:18 and John 3:1-3
7. Fold in the broken nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto a wax paper cookie sheet. Explain that each mound represents the rocky tomb where Jesus body was laid to rest.
Read Matt. 27:57-60
8. put the cookie sheet in the oven, close the door and turn off the oven.
9.Give each child a piece of tape and seal the door. Explain that Jesus tomb was sealed.
Read Matt27:65-66
10. Go to bed. Explain that they may feel sad to leave the cookies in the oven overnight and that Jesus followers were in despair when the tomb was sealed.
Read John 16:20-22
11. On Easter morning, open the oven and give everyone a cookie. Notice the cracked surface and take a bit, the cookies are hollow! ON THE FIRST EASTER Jesus followers were amazed to find HIS TOMB EMPTY.

A BLONDE THING

It was getting kind of late and we had just returned from our week-end trip to my parents . Seeing most of our laundry needed to be done , I quickly unpacked and threw clothes in the washer . I thought this would help things along in the morning .

I got up this morning , opened up the washer to remove the clothes ,and place them in the drier . sitting in the right corner was this soggy mass of something . I looked in closer and guess what it was. A diaper ! No , it was not a dirty one ( of coarse it would not have been by now anyway ) . Gel from the inside was everywhere . Not fun to clean up ! But I got it all out and the clothes rewashed .

Most would say , that this was a blonde's way of recycling ! Hope you get a good laugh out of this !

LONG SPRING NAP

I am now ready to take a very long spring nap . I have been suffering from spring allergies. So, I thought I would make a lunch to help me feel better . I made " Everything you can think of " chili , Strawberry Smoothies and a slice of German Chocolate Cake . Now I am very full and have a happy tummy ! So, I think I will hit the bed and bury myself in my Egyptian Cotton sheets and sail off to sleep for a while ( at least until the baby wakes me ) :)

I BELIEVE

Back in Sept . , during my C-section , I had a terrible pain in my chest . The Dr. showed me the EKG . It seemed my heart had an irregular beat. After the surgery , they did another EKG , still the beat was not right. All I could think of , was I am to young to have a heart problem !
At my 6 week check up , my blood pressure was sky high ! The Dr. said he was shocked I had not had a stroke!!!! So, he sent me to my family Dr . I was praying for God to make things right .I have to babies to raise !

The family DR. ran all kinds of tests ( EKG, Heart Gram and a Stress Test ) Just to inform you of the stress test , not fun! I went in and I was the youngest person in there . They called me back and put a cap in my arm , this would later be where they would inject the medicine to make my heart race. i was also injected with radiation . Then they did a Scan of my heart , in the rested state . I was then sent to the Stress Test building . After waiting for what seemed like forever , they called me back. I was hooked up top an EKG and then injected to the medicine. My heart began to beat faster , I began to get dizzy , they continued to inject! I thought I was going to die ! They called in heart DR.s because my heart was beating faster then it should have with this teat . " Dear God, please don't let me die " I prayed ! Finally , they let me go . I was to go eat ( the only time you will ever hear a Dr. say this ) a big hamburger , French fries and a milk shake ! After, I was to wait an hour and come back. They would then do another heart scan.

The test came back fine ! I had been born with a heart murmur , but guess what ! It was gone !!!! My heart was fine and beating normal! God had healed me ! The only thing wrong , was high blood pressure . So, I was put on meds.

I hated those pills ! They made me feel like I was on a bad high ! I prayed for God to continue to heal me and get me off this pills. The pills also made me bloat and gain weight , yuk !

I went in Friday for my check-up . My blood pressure was a little low ! Yes, low! My Dr. took me off the pills and said I was lucky . Well, my friends , luck had nothing to do with it . My God healed me !!!!

God, does not do half jobs . He does it all. It is in His time and His way. We may never understand but just have faith and believe! He is a miracle working God!

AWESOME DINNER

One of my favorite things to do , is to cook . I love to try new things . So, the other night i was feeling brave to try a new dish . I logged onto one of my favorite cooks website;www.rachaelray.com . I found an awesome recipe , chicken marvalsala papardelle with rosemary gravy . Out of this world !!!! It was propuably the best thing I have ever made ! I then made an apple crump cake with carmel icecream for dessert .

If you deside to make this , do not leave out anything it calls for . The wine is what makes it! I and my husband do not drink but I will use it to cook with . The alcohal burns out when cooked but will leave the flavor .

Whirlwind

This last week and week-end ,was one crazy time. My In-laws came in from Florida Wed and left on Sunday. Thank God time went by fast . And they did not drive me as crazy as they normally do. Why , do I say that , well ... they try to live our lives for us . And all they talk about is going to college so they can get different jobs. Mind you , they are 57 years old.

I kept them so busy . I took them rock hunting , tour of the mine my husband works for, and to Tombstone AZ., and my sons Birthday party . The sad thing was , my mother in-law, got sick from the heat . I told her to drink lots of water because the heat here is different then the heat in Florida.She had to go to ER because she did not listen to me .
Thank God , I won't see them for another year or so.

REFLECTIONS

It does not seem like the ripe age of 37 can really be upon me ! I still feel like I am in my 20's . Sometimes , I look at myself in the mirror , and think " O my goodness ! that can not be me!" It seems I look more and more like my Grandmother did at this age . I talk the same and feel the same but somehow do not look the same at all! It really depresses me . I thank God thatI have a husband that loves me no matter how I look . But I sure would kill to have the body I had at 18 ! Not have to wear glasses anymore ( I have had to since the birth of Jeremy . No moister in my eyes anymore ) not that I look that bad in them ...but still. And there is no way I will have surgery . Had a friend that hers went wrong . So, I am too scared. Oh well , guess Iwill have to live with the fact , We all get old some day ! :) But why me!!!!!!!!!!!

FUTURE HANDY MAN

This has been one of those days , when I hear ," Ma ma ", I hold my breath . What is he into now ?! So far , Lucas ( soon to be three ) has opened the drier and wanted to put up his laundry , Went to the stove and wanted to cook, tried to give me a bath and brought me a screw driver ( he had taking out screws in the breakfast nook !!!!

What next ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is driving me crazy but I can't help but go in the other room and laugh . Kids will be kids!:)

PRIDE AND JOY

This is my pride and joy ! My sons Jeremy and Lucas .

Going Crazy!

I thought my son would soon be over the two year old additude . Boy, was I wrong! It seems , the closer he gets to three ,( he will be three on March 12 ) the worse he is getting! If he gets mad for any reason , he now puts his hand down his throat and trys to make himself throw up !This is making me crazy !

Okay , what would SuperNanny do ? I have been trying the " notty wall " and it does seem to be working a little . But when will it stop ! I have tried just about everything ! Any ideas out there ? I really don't want his little brother to pick up this bad habit !

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Valentines Day has came and gone . I hate that Hoilday . Why , you may ask , well growing up , I was like Charlie Brown . The Valentine Box seemed to always be empty . I would sit in classes at school , waiting for a candy Gram or flowers to come my way . But they never did . It seemed like everyone else would get numberous ones but never did one come my way .
Thus , the same as a grown up at work . Flowers would come for all the other women , but not me . I never understood way. I am not an " Ugly Betty ". It took years ( 32) before all would change .

I had gave up on love and thought I would be alone forever . Then the first part of July , 2002, in walked the cutest guy , with the most beautiful blue-green eyes I had ever seen. The Pastor of the church I was attending came in for a hair cut ,from me . He had brought his friend in from Florida . He was in trying out for music minister at our church and the Pastor wanted us to meet . I never believed in love at first sight but guess what..... it happened !!
He left the next week . I did not know if he would be back . But, he came back and took the job as a music minister . We became good friends and went out all the time ( we took my friends with us )

I was very scared of getting hurt , because I had been very hurt in the past . So , I played hard to get for a while . Then I opened my eyes and saw he really loved me !
Long story short .. we married on Dec, 14 2002 .

Valentines Day finally was good to me . This year was the best so far and it has not stopped ! The week-end before , we had a banquet at church . I won for best dressed ! Then he gave me flowers , candy , a bear , perfume , and a card on Valentines Day . Last week he took me to a Resort in Tucson and then bought me a new wedding band ! And then got up in front of the church and told everyone how we met and how much he loves me!!!

Love is real . For those feeling like it is not , don't give up , your day will come too!

THE JEEP STORY

Well, to update ya'll on the story of the Jeep. Our friend in Florida called the trucking company that was hauling our Jeep , Told them about the truck driver wanting us to meet him in NM and pick up the Jeep at a truck stop and all Hell broke loose . The company and the dealership we bought it from said "NO WAY" . The truck driver was to deliver it at the dealership in AZ and to deliver it that night !

You see , the truck driver had already spend a week in TX , saying his truck was broke down . Okay , so you are thinking it was some Joe with a little moving company . Wrong! This was the Chrysler truck company that delivers Chrysler vehicles! He then , did not want to go through the weigh station , so he then took the back roads to the town to be delivered at . I 'm thinking he had picked up something or someone from Mexico and did not want to get caught .

Anyway , he finally made it in to town around 8:00 P.M. that night . Our Jeep was fine . But he did not want to take it down from the truck . He was a real jerk ! He did take it down after my husband signed papers . But the scary thing , he wanted a copy of my husbands license . I hope he does not try to find our house and do something !

After all that , I love our Jeep !!! And lesson learned , we will by from Tucson next time not Florida !

ROAD TRIP

We bought my husband's company jeep three weeks ago , from his friend back in Florida . They had it delivered to us here in Arizona. Well, it still has not made it here . The truck it is on broke down in Texas just as the snow storms where coming in. We waited. Well, the truck finally got fixed yesterday. The guy is on hour from El Paso, TX. Now he called and said his truck weights to much to come into Arizona. Now we have to load up our van and go to Lordsburg, NM. ( an hour and half away ). Not bad if we did not have to take the kids. And if it was not raining!

I think my husband's friend should give us the $800 dollars back , that we gave him to send the Jeep! I am soooooo mad!!!!!!!!

THE STORM

Some Pictures of the snow storm this week-end , here in Arizona . It is still 27degrees here today !!

DID HELL FREEZE OVER?

Well, they always said ,"The day it really snows in Southern Arizona , will be the day Hell freezes over ." Guess what ...... It snowed here and is still snowing. Last measurement was 9 inches . The snow is still coming down pretty hard . The town is shut down . Even Wal-mart is closed . We are snowed in here at my parents house . There was no way we where going to try to go up the mountains . Thank God, my husband has 3 1/2 weeks of vacation . He was able to take today off and maybe tomorrow, if needed.

I have missed the snow . So, this is really exciting!!!!

WHAT ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE ??????

I can remember when stores cared about the customers. It seems now days they don't give a crap! I and my husband have been victims of this nasty treatment latey .

This past Saturday I had to go shopping at WAL-MART . I needed water for the baby's formula . Well, I had my two year old with me , he was very ready to go when it came time to check out . I got to the front lanes ,only to find , four checkers ( on a Sat. ) After waiting in line for 30 min. , it was finally me turn to get checked out . I put all of my stuff on the line . Only to find , my water had a leak in the gallon. Great!!!!! I showed the checker . Her responds was " What do you want me to do about it ?" "Well , can you find someone to go get me another ?"
(Mind you , there was a checker next to my line , doing nothing !!! And a CSM ( manager) standing around talking about last nights party and who slept with who ! ) She told me no and to go get it myself . There was no way I was going to leave my son .
Now I once worked for WAL-MART and this attitude would never have flown !
I did not appeceate her nor the CSM . My two year old sure did not need to hear the talk of parting and sex!

Next victim..... My husband had to buy a company car . It had to be 4x4, so we decided on a jeep. We go down to price them , very pricey in this small town. So, we bought from our friend in Fl. It is being sent here. However, the dealership would not allow it to come there because they did not get the sale.
We would have taking it there for services and planned on buying from them next time ( he has to replace it in three years). The lost a continuing customer.

There is no need for people to be so rude! I am getting sick of it ! I now hate to go shopping!

MY DOG ATE IT !!!!!

To update ya'll on the package . The lady called us back and wants us to mail it all to her . Fed X is sending us a label for the package. The problem is my dog ate the box. So now I have to find something to mail this stuff in .Great!!!!!! Oh Well , It is the right thing to do :)

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Today around 4 , I saw my neighbor out in my back yard . So, I opened the door to see what was going on. She was walking home and saw my Westie eating a package left on my porch. She was kind enough to try and get it away from Kenzie and clean the yard. She gave me the package , I thanked her and came in. Moments later , my husband came home. I showed him the package . We saw it was not ours , but the lady that lived here before us. Well, we then saw the dog eating something in the yard again went out to find bubble bath from "Bath And beauty" So, We brought it all in , to find it belonged to the package.

We called the number on the invoice . It no longer exits. So, we called the lady that sent it . No answer . So, we left a message . We will see what happens.

Now the sad thing about all of this ,is the people have the same last name . You would think family would know if one moved away. I think it is very sad , that this lady sent a very pricey gift , to a person no where to be found. So, do we box it all up and mail it back to her ? What would you do?

HAPPY 2007

Here we are a another new year and time for resolutions. This year I would like to be a better person. Trying to become less jaded from people of the past.

I would like to be a better Mom . Spend more time with my kids .They grow up soooo fast ! The house work can wait a while . Reading , playing, and holding them comes first .

I would like to be a better Wife . Do less nagging and show more love and appreciation to have my make-up on and be out of PJs when my husband comes home. Helping him not to have wondering eyes ! I had to kiss too many frogs to find my Prince ..... I don't want to lose him .

I would like to be a better daughter . Let my parents know how much I love them and everything they do and have done for me. It is my turn to take care of them now , since their golden years are upon them and social security does not give them nearly enough to live on .

I think I would be a happier person and make others happier too , if I can achieve this .

A SUCKY THING

Today I logged on to classmates and thought it would be cool to try an email some old friends. Guess what...... They won't send you e-mails unless you pay ( and through the nose I might add ). Not only that , Your friends can not read your e-mail you send unless they too pay . How crappy is this !!!! I think it should be free !!! I know people need to make money but come on . Friendship is a priceless thing . And we should be able to reconnect without all the hassle !

IF We Make Through Dec.

I can not believe Christmas is once again upon us. I am sooooo ready for this year to done and over with.This has been a trying one!! I have counted 11 deaths of people I have known. My husband and I have been to the Dr. More times then I can count! He lost his job last spring. The in-laws are just getting worse and worse!!!!

Now there have been some very good things happen too. We moved on and my husband found the best job as a Planner for a major company , all the results from the Dr have been good. And I gave birth to our second son. We helped start a new church in our town with my husband as the music minister .

But all in all I pray that 2007 will be a better year for all !

AWESOME CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Christmas time is once again upon us. There are all kinds of programs to go see but I have found a wonderful one, I love. That would be the Trans-Siberian Orchestra . They do a rock -opera Christmas program that is heart warming! I saw them four years ago in St. Petersburg ,FL ( where the band is from) and WOW! I would go see them every year if I could. A two year old and a three month old tie me down right now, so I was unable to go this year. But next year if I can find a babysitter....... I will be there. If you can not make it ..... You should buy one of their CD's!

MYSTERY OF THE OPEN GATE

It seems like every morning our front gate and back gate would be standing open . This was very odd. You see we locked them before going to bed. We leave in a very quite neighborhood . So how could this be happening ? This kept going on for weeks ..... And then the backdoor would be open . ( Yes, we locked that too) Do we have a ghost? We had a man come to fix it and found nothing wrong. Very odd. All I kept thinking of was all those scary movies with these things going on.

Finally , the door stopped coming open . But the gates kept on opening up. So, I decided to close them and sit and wait , to see what was going on. I waited and waited. Finally...... The gates opened up and low and behold............. Two big dogs where in my yard playing with my little Westie. I watched to see how they got in. I could not believe my eyes. One of the dogs pushed the handle up and opened it !!!!

The mystery finally solved. So we put a chain on the gates and the dogs can not open them up anymore! As for the door .... That is still an unsolved mystery.

UPDATE....................

Sept. 8 at 2:50 p.m., I delivered my second son ( Jeremy Hollis). He weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces and 19 and a half inches. He is very cute!!!! I will send pictures to family and friends soon. The c-section was very easy this time and the recovery is going well. My 2 year old is having some jealousy issues . Which I hope will be over soon! We even bought him a present from his new brother ( a sing a long Elmo) but he is still not real sure of this new child in his life.

HOW MANY TIMES

I will be 37 weeks pregnant tomorrow. The Dr. Wants to do the c-section on the 19th. Yea, you may say, today I went in for my NST ( non-stress test), I was having contractions. The nurse checked me and I was dilated to a 3 and cervix is thinning. We all thought the Dr. Would do the c-section . WRONG!!!!! He sent me home. Can you believe that said to stay on bedrest and drink lots of water. ( I have been doing this ) Come back if pain gets bad or water breaks , other then that , he plans on waiting for the 19th. This is making me and my husband very mad and scared! I feel like I will be pregnant FOREVER!

Oh, yeah , I had a sonogram yesterday. The baby is fine, weighs 6 pounds 14 ounces. But my fluid is 3percent higher then it should be. The baby will be 8 pounds or more when born if we wait! Reminder..... I am only 5 feet tall !!!!!!!!!

FEELING ALL FLARED UP!

19 days to go and the Dr. Plans on doing a c-section. I don't think I will make it that long. I have already been in labor and had them stop it twice , in the last two weeks. I am on strict bedrest. I feel like I am on house arrest! My in-laws are making me crazy! ( That is a whole different story ) And my husband is talking stupid . Wanting to go back into ministry full time in the near future .
He has a great job now , making great money, with awesome benefits,and doing a lot of ministry work volunteering . Bang my head on the wall!!!!! So , how is your day going?!

TODAY

Today I feel like a cat. All I want to do is sleep and eat. Going into the 7 th month of pregnancy, I get lazyer and lazyer. I will be glad when this little guy is born.:)

WHY IS IT.....?

Why is it when people get old they do some of the things they do? What do I mean ? Well ...... They can not miss a game show for anything! Price is Right , Wheel of Fortune , millionaire , and Deal or No Deal, are the most important things to them! All will break loose the day Bob Barker kick the bucket!

Chewing with mouth closed is out of the question! These seem to have their conversations while eating!

The wear the same clothes for days . The may bath but forget putting on clean clothes! The say. " I don't do anything . So why change everyday"

And if they get mad at you, they go to their room and say I am so tired , I just need to rest.

Ok so not all old people are old people are like this. But those that are ..... Why? I hope I am not like this when I get old. Want to be a fun old person.

THOUGHTS OF DAD

Father's Day is coming upon us again . This brings many thoughts of Dad. I think of the times he would take me kite flying, teaching me to ride my bike , BQing for me anf my friends, telling me how to manage money , and many life leasing. He always put his family first. I love that he instilled in me the importance of God and family.

He is a strong man. For now he fights the battle of enfazeama. Everyday he wakes up to thank God , he has another day to live. He never knows if it will be his last. Every breath is a work out for him to take. Walking is not easy , nor is eating. Even breathing is hard. He is on oxygen 24 hours a day. And walks with a cane or uses a wheel chair.

He goes thorough life singing " Trading My Sorrows" :

If only we all could be that thankful. I admire him for his faith !

UPTO DATE

Well, we got away from the church we where working at. We are doing a lot better. My husband has a job as an electrician now and does ministry work volunteer. He is in a Christian band working on a CD. He is much happier. ( So am I)

The pregnancy is going well. I can not believe I am 6 months today! This one is going fast! It is a boy! I am very happy. My two year old son will now have a buddy! And my husband will have two golfing buddies! And two new band members LOL ! The only problem I have ,is High Blood Pressure . (HMMM. Imagine that ) But it is going down with the help of meds. I have a wonderful DR. This time. So, I know all will be well!

God has Blessed us and I know we are now in his perfect will and plan. Sometimes we just do not understand why he does things like He does. But He does. :)

BAT GIRL A WHAT??!!!!!!!!

I was very sad to hear , that DC Comics has now made Bat Girl a Lesbian. When I was growing up , she was Bat Man's girlfriend. Why the change? Did Bat Man make her that mad ? What next ..... Bat man and Robin lovers? Sigh .... This is just sad! :( I liked it when it was ok for a heterosexual women could be a super hero too. Then again in the real world ,us mom's are. Are we not?!!!!)

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

It seems that the Bully has won the fight. The women in my husbands choir , that hated him and made our life a living hell, finally got her way. I don't know how , but she convinced the pastor to fire my husband this last Thursday. They did not even give him a real reason . Just that they wanted the music ministry to go in a new direction. Yesterday was to be his last service. Office to be cleaned out by tomorrow , and us out of the house by April 15. ( However , we are moving out Sat.)

How cold is that! What kind of person does this with me being 3 months pregnant! Our phone has been ringing off the wall , with people crying and wanting us to stay. It is very heart breaking. I know not all Pastors are heartless . So please , if you are one of the few that still loves people , sticks up for your staff, does not let jealousy , and mean women run your church,puts God first, let me know you are out there. This really hurts!!! I am afraid my husband may leave the ministry for good. We really need some encouragement!

BULLIES BULLIES GO AWAY

Why is it , when we are kids , bullies seem to make our life a living hell! Our parents tell us not to take it. Just give them a taste of their own medicine and they will leave you alone. Ok, so why is it , as adults we seem to fold under the bullies? They seem to grow up and become bigger and badder! You know what I am talking about. They are the ones at your job acting like they are the boss, when they are not. Somehow , we still act just like we did as kids. Run scared and let them win! I am sick of this kind of people!!!! Why don't people just grow up! Stop being so envious of others and spreading lies , and turning everyone against they good people . Come on ! We are adults now! Stop being a bully and stop letting them win!

COULD HAVE BEEN US

The other day, my husband received an e-mail from the church in Mississippi we worked at in 2004. They wanted us to check out their website and look at the pictures from Katrina. My heart broke. That could have been us too! God is truly watching us and directing our paths. My prayers are with those there. I am glad to report, no one from that church was hurt during this monster of a storm. SICK GAME

Parents beware! There is a very dangerous game kids are playing around the country. It is called "THE BLACKOUT GAME". It is a sick game of choking until passing out. Why would anyone be so stupid? This is a very horrible thing kids are doing to each other for a "thrill". Some are even doing this alone , resulting in death. Kids life is a gift from God! Enjoy it!Don't play this death game! Parents talk to your kids, worn them of the dangers. (Signs to look for are: marks on the neck and bloodshot eyes, interest in passing out and choking)

HATE VITAMINS

Doing good with this pregnacy except for the prenatals! I feel great till I pop one of these babies! I forgot how awful they are! I know I have to take them but awwww. It seems the only way to keep them down is with diet Pepsi and crackers. Any suggestions?

THE DR. YEAR

Looks like this is going to be the year for the Dr. Thank God for insurance!! My husband had his test ran . We will know the results next month. They did a sonogram on his liver and took 10 vials of blood. ( They must be vampires! LOL)

I will be making my share of trips this year also. I am expecting our second child in Sept. This is good news! Just going to be a very hot summer ! Living in Florida ,expecting, in the summer ( scream) :) Oh well, it will worth it all in the end! I love being a mommy!

TEST RESULTS

Today , my husband went to the Dr. For results of his blood test . He had these done last month , trying to find out why his colon test came out bad. The results were not what we would have ever dreamed of. The test showed a problem with his liver. The Dr. Can not figure out what it is. This is very scary!! He says it is just a small figure from being normal. What is that supposed to mean? So , Thursday we will be off to the lab for more test.

Pray all will come out fine. Hearing liver problem, freaks me out. I lost my Grandma to a liver disease when I was 12. She was not a drinker , something that just happened. My husband is not a drinker either and is only 32. This is very hard. I have to be the strong one and not let my fears show.

I can not believe what I read on MSN.com the other day. There is a man claiming to be a Vampire running for Gov. In MI. He said he feeds on blood and is a Satanic priest. He also made the comment of wanting to get our Pres. And feed off of him.

What kind of drugs is this guy on. And what kind of drugs are the people in MI on to let a sick oh run for Gov. Let alone some one making public threats to our Pres. He does not have to make a public apology but now if it had been ... Say Pat Robinson, they would have made him make one. What kind of country are we becoming?????

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??????

Did you see American Idol last night? It made me laugh so hard. How can people get up there and make such fools of them selves? The sad thing is , they think that they can really sing. And what were the judges thinking when ,they voted for the wiggly guy ,with no shoes and said he could talk to the animals. Huh???? Yep, they voted for him to go to Hollywood. He could not sing . He was a freak! This is going to be a very interesting season.

The reason

I am so sorry for the spelling mis-haps. I try to check and clean up. But , the reason some get passed, Is my Siamese cat. She loves to sit in my lap when I am on the computer. She sometimes likes to put her paws on the key board . I guess she wants to write a blog too. lol :)

LITTLE HUNTER

I was outside the other day , with my westie and little boy. We were running and having a great time. When my Westie comes up to me , drops a small brown furry thing at my feet. It looked like a stuffed toy. But to my surpise , I looked closer , and it was a mole!!! Yuck!
I had heard that westies love to hunt . But I did not thing mine was old enough ( he is 6 months old ) And I never thought he would get a mole. This is going to be fun this spring and summer. We have lots of creatures in our yard .What will he find next ? We will see , something I am not looking forward to .

WHITE GLOVE SYNDROME

I have come to know some people with mysophobia . ( The fear of dirt and germs ) This is a sad thing to have and annoying to those of us who don't. This people continue to think everything is dirty . Even is it is bleached and sparkling clean . They won"t eat out , for fear of germs . Won"t let their kids play outside or with other kids. It is a sad thing .

You can become very mad with this people! Then again , it is fun to mess with them too . Talk about germs around them and watch them go off , maybe even get sick. Ok , Ok , I know that is wrong to do .... But it sure can be fun.

seriously , I do feel bad for them . One speck of tiny , tiny , tiny dirt is really not going to kill anybody ! Please, put the white gloves away!

ONE CRAZY MONDAY

This day started out at 6 this morning. I woke up to find that our electricity was off. Great ... No heat. I woke my husband to inform him. I was very worried because we have a 1 year old. So, he called JEA ( the electric company). They informed us it was just our house and would send someone out. The guy got here , only to find, he could not fix it . It was a Big job! So, he left for a couple of hours. He later returned with help ( four trucks !!!!) Two hours later , our electric was finally back on. Our son was fine . I kept in in his footy pj's and lots of blankets.

Next thing, I received a letter that I have been chosen for jury duty, in St. Petersburg! I have not lived there in three years!!! I call to inform them of this and all I get is a stupid recording ! Great now what am I going to do. I may just have to drive four and half hours away to go and tell them , I leave in Jacksonville!

And now my husband has just got back from the Dr. Telling me he has bronchitis (Scream) Callaghan take me away!!!!!!!!

NOT ALWAYS AS GOOD AS OT LOOKS

My husband and I decided to go out of town for New's Year. We have a 6 month old westie. So , I saw a new kennel had opened up down the road from our house. It looked wonderful! Puppy play time , swim time, private room with music. Hey, a puppy heaven. So, we took him in for the night.

We went to pick him up yesterday and I was so ticked off when they brought him out to me. He had blood on the side of his face and top of his head ! They told me , they did not know why . They said they did not have our records of his shots ( lie , I had faxed them and took them in with the dog ) so they had him away from all other dogs. He must have hit his head on the cage . Okay, whatever !! They were supposed to have had him in a room , not a cage . And he had teeth marks on him! Seeing I was mad , they did not charge us.

I got him home and put some medicine on him. They sores are much better. He also threw up a lot last night. But he is eating now and feeling better.

So, if you decide to take your animals to Pet paradise , think again. They suck!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wow, what a year 2005 has been ! It seemed to be the year Mother Nature showed us She was very upset ! Storm after storm moved through the earth . Yet , one more Hurricane is lurkung in the sea . Yes, hurricane season was "over" Dec, 1 .

This was also the year we saw gas prices jump through the roof . This seemed to make people go crazy , here in Jacksonville. They would do anything for the "Gold" fluid. From stealing from stations , other cars , letting thier cars run out of gas and leaving them , to killing one another.

Yes, this was a trying year . Let us hope 2006 is better . Keep our eyes up and say a little prayer . HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY GOD SPEED !

HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH

My husband , sister in-law , my son , and I all went to Disney World the day after Christmas . Talk about the wrong time of year to go ! There were so many people there , it made Christmas Eve at Wal-mart look peaceful.

I was shocked to see they way they rip you off! You have to pay 9 dollars for parking ,then $56 ( Florida residents) or $63 ( for non- residents ) . When you finally get to the park you want to go into , you are very hungry . So, you go to get something to eat . We chose hotdogs , thinking this would be the cheapest , it was $30 for freaking hotdogs!!!

It was very pretty ,all decorated for the Holidays. The Christmas parade was going on when we got in. Very nice . And the Cinderella Crowning was cool . But not many rides , and when you finally found them , 45 min. To 2 hour waits ! Not many characters either.

All I could hear was the sound of money . And thinking "Can you Imagine all the money coming in this place every day?!"

I say next time , we will put the money into a resort there and then go to downtown Disney . It is free to get in there and they have all the stores the parks do . Just no rides or characters.

HAVE A HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS

Can you believe it , tomorrow is Christmas Eve ? I have all the gifts wrapped and stockings stuffed ! Hope to make good memories for my son. Christmas holds many fond memories for me . But the best times were at my Grandma's house in Pagosa Springs , Co . She was the greatest Grandma around !!!

My Dad would always load up the car , Mom and me . Off we would go on the two hour drive. I would get so excited the closer we would get . It seemed to take FOREVER to get there . Oh but it was worth the wait !!

Finally we would arrive , lights all through the town and snow everywhere! It looked like a Christmas Village you would buy in the store . Grandma and Grandpa would be at the door with many hugs . Her house would be decorated like Macy's department store. Red and silver . Outside would be lights and Christmas characters build by Grandpa and Dad . ( They say Grandma always put more out front , so the handicap man across the street , would have something to look at ) She loved everyone and always put them first.

After we would get there , my Aunt and Uncle would come over . Sometimes we would have a special visit from my Uncle from California. I loved when everyone from the family could be there. We then would eat , visit and sing. Finally , we would open up gifts . The house never seemed to rest . People from all over town would stop by to say Merry Christmas . Grandma had a gift for all .

I miss those times and Grandma and Grandpa. It makes me sad to know my son will never meet them. But I can try to make Christmas like they did and tell him how wonderful they were. Hope you make your Christmas special for your loved ones too. :) Have a very Merry Christmas.

WHAT NEXT?

Now I have seen it all ! Cyber Santa. Yes, if you are to busy to take the kids to see Santa , or if the lines are to busy..... Now you can just logg on and talk to Santa on-line. He has a web cam and you can see him and talk to him. How cool is this. Of course I would be watchful . You never know what sick o's may be posing as Santa and just be out there to be a perve. I think I will just make the time to go to the mall and deal with the long line. This way you are with your kid and "Santa" does not get personal info. Unfortunately , it is not a nice world these days.

5 MORE DAYS!!!!!!

Can you believe it , just 5 more days till Christmas!!! It does not seem possible. The year has just flown by. I still have a few more gifts to buy. Yes, I know going to the mall or any store now , is suicidal! But , I had to wait for pay day seems to be enough money or time .

I still get like a kid . I love Christmas so much! I get all excited and jumpy! Can not wait for the gifts! Or Santa! HO, Ho, HO

GOOD NEWS

My husband had his test Wed. Thank God, all is well !! Nothing major wrong , just has a pain in the butt ( no it is not me .LOL) and can be treated with otc meds.

What a way to spend an anniversary Poor guy . He did great , except for the IV part. But that is okay. I am also afraid of IVs.

ARE WE THERE YET?

So many things to do before Christmas is here. One more night of our Christmas program at church ( tonight). This one has been very easy and fun. We have the choir sitting around in a livingroom setting , singing carols and sharing Christmas Memories . It reminds me of something the gathers would do .

Last week we had a party almost every night. Lots of good food ! The choir one was the best. I have never seen so many nice gifts for a party gift game. Gift cards , angels , BC sets , stuff from Bath and Body works . Wow!! One more party to go . Wew.

In between all that , our anniversary falls in. However , my husband has to go have a colon test on that day. I am glad he is finally having it , so no I am not upset about that. We went out Sat night to celebrate . Ate at Carrabaras and went to see Narina . Great movie!

Yes, you could say this has been a very busy Holiday season . And the best is yet to come...... CHRISTMAS ... It is my very favorite time .

YES , VIRGINA , IT IS STILL CALLED CHRISTMAS

I can not believe that people are trying to put a stop to Christmas being called Christmas . What is wrong with them ! Christmas is the celebration of Jesus birth . Not Santa giving to greedy people! If we stop calling it Christmas , that is like taking the chocolate out of chocolate chip cookies. You still get some what of the taste but not the true thing. That little chill you get when Dec. Comes around would go away. People would become more hateful and the "glow" of Christmas would be gone . Why , would this happen , you may ask . Well, I believe it is the love of God that brings that "magic " feeling of the season . For it was his love that gave us His Son. If we take Christ out of Mas what do we have ...... Mas ( or one big Mess ) It would be the beginning of doing away with our Freedom of Choose , Speech , and religion . Is that what we want ? If so .... Move to a different country!

I have decided to try a old " new" thing. Drink apple cider vinegar with honey , two to three times a day with meals. Why ? Well , they say it will help to lose weight . Not only that but it will help with many other problems . Such as ; heartburn, sorethoart, ulcers , bloodpressure , and many things . You can read about it on line . It is all on many sites . RED, YELLOW, BLACK, AND WHITE

My husband and I have been watching the series "INTO THE WEST". It is a great series with a lot of history. However, it makes me so very mad how much hatred there was toward the natives . They are a people that love the land and all they wanted was food , and not to have the land destroyed . But since they spoke a different language , lived diffrerent , and had a diffrent skin color ; the white soldiers hated them . This makes me very mad !!

It seems to be a hate that continues today . Why? We all bleed the same and breath the same . Had it not been for the native Americans we would not even be here . They showed us how to cook and live in America . ( remember the pilgrims ) . Had it not been for them I would not be alive. My Great- Grandma is a native American. And I am sure many others Great - Grandparents are also . We need to live by the song " Jesus Loves The Little Children " Remember ; Red, yellow, Black , and white , We are all precious in His site !

LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN

My family and I went to Harrisburg, PA for Thanksgiving . A very beautiful place . Trees of many colors and Victorian style homes . Makes you feel like you are a part of one of those little Chistmas villages.

The day after I did not go do the crazy shopping thing . Instead, we went to Hershey ,PA . I felt like I was in Heaven ! I am a Chocolate freak!!! Being surrounded by it was wonderful !! The only thing missing was the oomph Lumpas! Check out the web site herseypa.com

COLD, WHAT COLD ?

Last night brought very cold temps here in Florida . I guess this is what froze people's brains. There was a line of people outside of Target last night. Why ,you may ask . Well, they were waiting to be the first to buy the XBOX360. Okay, so it does some cool things . But to wait out in freezing wind over night ( one couple had an infant out in the wind ) is a little crazy !!!!!

I can only imagine how insane Christmas shopping is going to be in the electronic departments. Is it really worth all the fighting ? It seems to be the "fun" thing for inventor's to do . Every year they come up with something to make us humans go nuts. And then next year this will be an "old and boring "item. Are they putting something in are minds to make us not think straight ? Weather , children , and money seem to mean nothing. They have to have it! And now before their buddy does, so they can be so cool! Please, have a little common sense people!

WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR ?

Here it is Thanksgiving time again . Time to reflect back and Thank God for things he has blessed as with . I am Thankful for my family and the land I live in. Also , that Hurricane season is almost over !

This has been a very tragic year for many . My heart goes out to those. I have seen many affected from all the storms and many other things. You may not feel you have anything to be Thankful for. But look up and be Thankful you still have breath in your body ( even if you don't feel like taking that breath ). God is not finished with you yet . You still have a purpose !

PRISSY KITTY

Yesterday I started getting the house ready for the Holidays. Fun, fun . I completed my room first. this included the closest , the drawers, everything !!!

My cat is very happy , she now has a place to hide in the closest . Little did I know that is not all she likes about it . My husband came home for lunch , walked into the hallway ,and was laughing so hard . " Honey , I think you need to see this ", he said to me. Great , I thought our new puppy had left some sort of present . I walked into the hall and could not believe my eyes. My cat was all warped up in my red lingerie !!! I about fell over with laughter ! Thank God we did not have anyone over ! I guess she just wanted to look sexy for our male cat . lol

A MUST READ

I have found myself additiced to THE CHRONCLES OF NARINA . It is awesome stories . I wanted to read thme since the movie is coming out. These stories have really got a hold on me . I can not seem to put the books down .

When I was younger , I had no desire to read them . I thought they were just another stupid book about magic. Boy, was I wrong ! Yes, they are like a fairy tale ,yet so much like real life between the lines. You begin to see the Bible in the stories . Starting out with Adam and Eve through the book of Revalations . C.S. Lewis was an aewsome writter. If you want a good book to read , read these ! I promise you won't be disappointed!

BEST LITTLE BQ IN TOWN....................YUM YUM

Today my husband and I went to eat lunch at Sticky Fingers . It was by far the best BQ I have had here in Jacksonville . This place Rocks! They bring you four FREE ribs to try with the kind of sauce you want on it .(There are six to choose from )After this , they take your order with the sauce you like. It is out of this world ! The meat just falls off the bone .

Jacksonville is known for it's BQ . So, we have tried just about all ;from Sony's to Toby's, But none can compair to this. If you are ever in town , you have got to sink your teeth into this. You will love it ! Oh, don't for get the wipies !:)

IS IT TO MUCH TO ASK?

My husband , my son ,and I went out for dinner at a nice family restrant the other night. Our son ( 19 months old) needed his diper changed. So, I took him to the famliy restroom. The door was locked with people inside making moaning noises. I don't really care to know what they where doing, but they should have been else where ! Not being able to get in there , I went into the women's restroom. And NO CHANGING TABLE in there !!!!! I was fit to be tied !

This has not been the only place a changing table is no where to found . Or if there is one , it is in a space so small , there is no way in Hadies you can change your child. Is it to much for a store to have a changing station ,that you can use and not just to look at.

Sometimes you can not just run to your car to change your child. And if you do people seem to get all bend out of place. They seem to forget that we all have to go every now and then.

So, what are we to do? Throw the baby on the floor in the store or restrant and change them ? That would not be a good idea . So , is it to much to ask for a changing station ?

HOW COMMITTED ARE YOU?

A couple of weeks ago we did a play at our church . Had a great turn out! A guy by the name of Al played a small roll in it , with only nine words. However , he was great at it , and very committed. You see, Al had Crohn's Disease and was not feeling very well. But he had made a commitment to be a part.

The play was a three nighter. On the last night , Al was really not feeling well and was having chest pains. He thought it was from his meds ( that was one of the side affects ). The director told him he should go home and get some rest. But Al was a fighter and said "No, I have to do this ". He was dragging but did his part anyway.

After the play , his mother took him to the hospital, where he pasted out and went into a coma. Al had came down with Pneumonia and did not know it. He was put into ICU . I am sad to say that Al pasted on Nov. 1,2005. He was 24 years old.

How committed are you? Do you keep your word when you have made a commitment to do something. If it a great task or a small one . This young man has truely challanged me to try and keep my commitments . How about you?

55 DAYS

Can you believe,there are just 55 days till Christmas ! Time to start getting shopping done . Last minute is always a pain ! Get the house clean for decrocating . This can bring overwhelming feelings or gitty ones. As for me ... both .

I love Christmas ; all the trimmings, the food , buying presents for loved ones , the smell and the feel in the air. This year will be great fun . It will be my son's second one , and one he may have some memories of. So. I am going to try to make it wonderful for him.

However , this time of year is a very crazy time too. My husband is a music minister and this is the busiest time for him ; so I don't get to see much of him. That is the part I really hate . He is busy getting the choir program together. That could be a sit-com of it's own . However, it always comes out great at the end.

Oh, yes.... the next two months will be very busy. Thanksgiving, our aniversery, the Christmas program , Christmas , and my husbands birthday. Wow!!! Let us hope I make it through!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Halloween holds great childhood memories. My Dad and I always had a great time fixing up the house for this time of year. We would carve pumpkins ( the old school way ), make sound traks to play for trick or treaters, buy the best candy to give out ( of coarse this was for Dad to have the left overs), and dress up . I loved it !

The one thing that I will never forget, My first haunted house . The JC 's would always put on the best one . And very scary I might add . I was seven years old and really wanted to go. I thought I was a very brave little girl. So, my Dad took me. It was a very cold and windy Oct. night . This added to the whole effect. I remember the line being very long and no other small children in it. Dad asked if I was sure about going in. Oh yes, I had to !

Finally, we were at the door. I grabed his hand a little tighter , gulped and walked into the most scary place I had ever been !!! I can remember ugly creasures jumping out at us , crazy people mad because we were in "their" house, and monsters everywhere ! I think I even peed my pants!! But I made it all the way through . Brave little girl !!! But you know , I still will not go in one of those things to this day!

I loved Halloween ! make it a time of family fun . It does not have to be an evil holiday. Have a Great Time ! Peace :)

CRY BABIES!!!!

Today our news headline read " Be very afraid". The article is about our NFL team may be moving. Why? Well , you see , they are a cry baby team. The reason I say this , is because every time they do not get there way, they say they are going to move. SO WHAT!!!!! If this is they way they feel , I now know why the city rolls eyes and are not big fans.

The reason this week , for the big threat. They do not want the city to place ads on the billboards. They want the ads ,they want . This sounds like kids fighting!!!

Come on guys act your age. As for now I choose to stand behind the other Fl. team!!!!!!

FREAKING OUT

This storm coming is making people go nuts! The cats are running through the house , the baby crying one min. and laughing the next . Not wanting to take a nap ! AWWW. And my husbands boss is wanting everything in the office re cleaned.

The cleaning guys just completed the cleaning , but he is running around saying ," it is not clean enough. It should take you at least 2 to 3 hours just to vacuum!" The carpet is very clean, so I don't know why he is freaking out! It has to be the storm or the full moon!

We still don't know where this crazy hurricane is going to hit! All we can do is wait , and pray we will have enough time to get out if needed. This is very strange ! You see, we usually know at least 3 to 4 days in advance. This one is a watch and wait . I really don't like that. But it is no need to freak out. Just be prepared ! We will know soon .

CAT.5

Well, they say Wilma is now a cat . 5. This is bigger then Katrina was ! And it is heading for Florida . I am getting prepared to leave if we must . There is alot more to getting ready for a hurricane then some would think. I am getting all the VIP paperwork together , doing laundry, taking inventory of household things , and getting all of our pictures I would like to take .

This is just the start of preparing. I also need to go buy water , batteries , diapers , and non-parisable food . This in case we can stay . We could be without power for a while.

You may say " stay are you crazy?" Well, you see ,we are in the northeastern part of Florida. And it is said to hit southern and mid Florida. So , we may not have to leave. Then agian , if it stays a cat. 5 .... Yes ,we will be out of here! If it stays that strong , it will be HUGE !

Here is the scary thought. If it stays a Cat. 5 , people will need places to go. However, most big centers are still holding Katrina People. So, were will the people all go ? We just need to pray the storm dies down . America has sufforded enough ! However, I guess it is true of what my Grandma used to say " What does not kill us , will make us stronger ".

I will try to keep you fellow readers up dated as the storm continues .

HERE WE GO AGAIN

Here we go again! Another hurricane ! I am sooooo ready for this season to be over and done with . It looks like this one may come our way . I pray that it does not . I wish it would stay in the water and not hit land . I think we have had more then our share of storms this year.

My heart is still breaking about Katrina. You see, we lived in Moss Point Mississippi last year. I have many friends that were affected from that monster. I continue to pray for all there. I watch and cry. That could have been us!

As the week-end is coming upon on us, we shall see were Wilma decides to make her mark. So , off to the store I go, to buy water and supplies. Sigh...... " This To Shall Pass".

WHAT TO DO.......

Today I was reading my e-mail. I came across a note from classmates , reguarding a high school reuion. People were talking of our 20 year coming up . I thought it was a little early . After all we still have two years.

Will I go or not ? I really don't know . My husband says I should . However , the airline tickets could be costly. I would really like to. But I have a little bitter feelings. You see , I was not invited to our 10 th . I have no clue why not . I was living in my home town at the time. Was not a disliked person . I got along with everyone . I was just a quite blond girl , loving life and a guy named Greg. So why no invite ?!

I guess I will have to see what happens between now and then. Maybe I will get an invitation this time. Or maybe just crash the darn thing. It would be fun to see how much people have changed. God knows I have , but I think for the better. I am very happy with my life. would not change a thing ! :) Look out Farmington, nm I may come back and see you . Like it or not !!!!!

THE SMELLS OF FALL It's that time of year again , Fall. It is my favorite time. However, I miss many things . You see, I grew up in a small town in New Mexico. And now live in Florida. Fall time is very diffrent here. We have lots of rain and waiting of hurricane season to end ( Nov. 30 ). Smell of Peanuts and no trees changing color. I love it here , but do miss the smell of roasting chilies, smell of fire places , and the golden trees. I guess I will have to buy a can of chilies and throw them in the oven, pretending to be the smell of the "real" thing. As for the trees, I will have to download wallpaper. Sigh.... Oh the cost of living in paridise! :) Happy Fall time everyone.

Just some friendly girl advice. I will never forget what one of my old friends had told to her. You see , she worked for a man that was thinking of leaving his wife , and he made it very clear he was interested in her. She turned him down , but asked him why the interest in her. His answer. "Because you always look nice. You always fix your hair, are dressed nice , have make-up on , and smell good too. My wife does not care how she looks anymore . This makes me feel she is not happy with me." So, I have always taken this to heart. If you want to keep your man happy , take some time for yourself. Take a shower daily, brush your hair , fix your face , put on "real" clothes and a little perfume now and then . You will feel better about yourself and your husband with be happy too! After all you represent him too. ( you do share his name, right?) Go on give it a try. What have you got to loose? :)

STEP UP TO THE PLATE Why is it so hard to get people to volenteer this days. I am the nursey director at our church . And you would not believe the teeth I have to pull to get helpers back there. They are only asked to work ONE TIME a month. If the ones sceduled to work can not make it, I cover or they have to find someone else to work for them. You would not believe some of the excusses. I feel like I am back in grade school.They may as well say the following: The dog ate my car keys and I can't make it. Is it really Sunday? I really like the way pastor is dressed today ,so I am going in service. Your out of cookies! No way , I need my sugar! They need to realize it really is not that hard of a job. Besides ,most of them have kids back there. All they need to do is show the kids some love and give them Gold Fish. Come on People! step on up to the plate!!!
