THE FORTUNE COOKIE

This is what my fortune cookie read the other day . Hmmm! Could someone be trying to tell me something ? God knows that the wind sure has been blowing VERY strong lately .

Lucas' Dr. Appointment

Wed . we headed out to Phoenix for Lucas to go see a Hemotalogist . he had a blood test done three weeks ago , with bad results . So , our Dr. told us we needed to see another Dr. After six phone calls , we finally found one at the Childrens' Hospital in Pheonix . I was very worried about the whole thing . The Sunday night after we had made the appoinytment , I could not sleep . So , I got up and prayed all night long .
Fear really set in when we got to the hospital . The sign said " Blood disorders and cancer " . We walked in and I had to go in the bathroom because I began to cry . We saw three bald children and one leaving from treatment in a red wagon .My faith was sinking ! What if he had cancer !
The Dr. was wonderful ! First thing she did , was inform me he in no way had cancer . He was being seen for Aniema . She wanted to run blood work on him to see how it was . His records had shown it in him since birth . Well , the lab tech came in and took blood . He was so cool ! he told Lucas that our blood is blue inside but in turns out red when it hits oxygen . Lucas took it all in . he loves medical things .
As this was going on , they talked to us about staying in the Ronald McDonald house for the night , since we had a long drive home . I was so honored that God was blessing us ! It was going to cost us $10 for the night !
After the test was done , we went to the Ronald McDonald house . What a great place ! They are angels !
We then went out for a bit to ease nerves . As we were out , the Dr . called us . She had the results back . She was so excited and sounded as if she was about to cry . She reported to us, that Lucas' blood was NORMAL ! No signs of a virus or Anmiea !
Prayer works ! And Miricles still happen ! I am so happy and thankful for God's blessings !

UNINVITED GUEST

I was so proud of myself today . I put together an iron filled soup for Lucas .It had stew meat , mushrooms , tomoteos and lot of veggies and cooked all day . Dinner time came , I dished out the soup , found some crackers ,and called the boys and Rob to the table . Lucas loved it ! We were so happy he was finally eating .

After we had ate half our bowls , I grabed some crackers . I spit out my soup so fast and grabed up the other bowels and threw the crackers away . You see , we had an uninvited guest . WEEZALS !!!! YUCK ! They were all in the crackers .
Thank God the boys did not understand what was going on . I told them that the crackers were dirty . Fixed them a new bowl of just soup . Rob is still trying not to barf .LOL

MIDNIGHT SNACK

Last night was not an easy night for me . It seemed that I had just got to sleep ,when Lucas crawled into bed with us . So , I picked him up and put him into his bed . I layed down and went back to sleep for a couple of hours . I woke up around 2:30 A. M. , feeling a panick attack coming on . I was beginning to think of Rob's job , Lucas' Dr. appointment next Wed and my Mom's new insane additude .
I guess Jeremy was feeling that I was not doing to well . Because , around 3:00A. M. , he walked up to my side of the bed , holding my jar of Hersey Kisses ,with a big smile , and saying "Candy ".How could not laugh . I took him up in my arms , he and I had a kiss and finally went to sleep with peace.

WHEN WILL THE SUN COME OUT ?

Today , I had to take Lucas to the DR . to get lab results from last week . The results from his blood work showed signs of anemia and a virus . The Dr ,. now wants him to go to a Hemologist .
I came home and began to make calls . Well, living in a small town ,things like this are very frustrating . They told me a Dr from Tucson comes down here to do the test . Guess , what ? He does not do them on children under 12 . So , I call the hospital in Tucson , no answer . So , after 6 calls to DR,s Rob finally took over . He finally found a Dr. in Phoenix . However , this Dr wants our DR to call , telling them why he wants the tests done . Sounds easy enough . Wrong ! It is 2:30 and he still has not called . So , we are now playing the waiting game .
I am so sick and tired of DR's and tests !

THE LETTER

Friday here was a different " Black Friday " . A day of a very bad letter to the employees were my husband works . This letter was sent out to all of the employees , telling them that on Feb. 2 , 1550 of them would be layed off and this was just the first lay off this big to take place . This will take half of the staff .
They say it is because copper has dropped to much ( $ 1.25 , last year it was around $4.00 )
The scary thing , the letter did not say who would be layed off , nor in what areas .
So , now we sit and play the waiting game . And pray that we will be ok . However , I know that one door never closes without another one openning . It is all in God's hands .

Goodbye to 2008

I can not believe this year is over . It has been a very eventful year and one I am glad to see go .Let's see if I can recap a little of it .

The beginning of the year My husband's job looked great ! Copper was up higher then it had been in years . The company even gave one of the biggest bonuses every given , with the promise of more to come through out the year .
We only saw one more of $300 dollars . Copper began to fall . Four people were killed at his work . A big chemical spill happened causing lots of damage to the town below us . Then lay offs began to take place , 500 plus lost their jobs . We have been very lucky , that Rob still has his .

It was also the year of Lucas going through lots of test . He had an EGG , EKG and lots of blood work . The results were ADHD and OCD . He was giving meds and is doing much better now .

I to had test done and was told that I had , had a heart attack while giving birth to Jeremy two years ago . Some damage had been done but nothing to worry about . Was put on blood pressure pills and Cholesterol pills .

It was also a time of seeing the hardest thing ever . My Dad's Emphysema taking his life . He was in and out of the hospital so much that , we finally had him put on Hospice ( they are angels ). He passed away June 12 .
I was glad I and the boys had spent his last day with him . It is one I will always treasure . He took the time to read to Lucas , play with Jeremy and have a Hamburger with me . I am also glad I was with him when he passed . I walked in the room , he was sleeping , told him I loved him and watched him take his last breath .

It was a year of The Winds Of Change . I know they are still blowing but I pray that it will be good change 2009 . I wish you all a very Year full of Blessings and Good . Happy New Year :)

Busy Bee Me

Once again it is the busiest time of the year . I love it but I am already drained !
It has been Dr. appointments , Dentist appointments , shopping , cooking , making no-sew-blankets , concerts , parties , our anniversary and nest Christmas and then three days later .. Rob's B-day ! Whee :)

Lucas has to go the the Dr . once a month to make sure his meds are okay with his ADHD . I had to go this month ,get on Crestor and have an upper GI . Thank God it come back fine .
Dentist was time for cleaning . Rob went and is getting his teeth fixed on my B-day . He is getting two front crowns .
Rob had a big Christmas concert to sing at last week . It was very nice . Of coarse , I think he did the best ;).
This week-end , I had an ornament party ,I went to . Then Sat . night , we went to a Christmas dinner with Rob's work . Then Sunday , was our 6th anniversary . We went to Arby's and to see " Twilight " . ( Cheap date I know ... but I loved it ).
And in between it all I have been making the crafts and candy .
Ok , I think i am going to bed now . Funny thing is , it is only 7:30 PM .

Enough Is Enough

I have been trying to be jolly and not let the family see that I am very scared . Why? You may ask . Well , Rob's work is still laying off people . They have just sent out 200 letters , trying to get people to quit . Rob is still ok , as for this moment . We are just taking it one day at a time . It is like a huge axe hanging over our heads and no one knows when and whom it will fall on .
Everytime he calls me , I just hold my breath and say a pray . I know that if it does happen , something else will open up . A door never closes without another one opening up .
So , my Christmas wish ..... for copper to go up , the lay offs to stop and Rob to keep his job .

Thanksgiving , In A Four Year Olds Words

It is hard to believe , that it has been one week since Thanksgiving . We had a great time at my Mom's . We ate , watched movies and visited .

While , stopping at Blockbuster , to rent some movies , I told Lucas the story of Thanksgiving . Of the Pilgrims coming to America from England on the Mayflower , becoming friends with the Indians and of the big feast ( Thanksgiving ) . And of how they were Thankful for everything .

Soon after , I had told him this , Mom and Rob returned to the car , were we had waited . I asked Lucas to tell them about Thanksgiving . Here is what he said .
" Thanksgiving is a Thankful time ! " I asked him why we had Thanksgiving . He replied , " Because some illegal aliens came over on a flower and ate and played with Indians ."
I thought we all were going to fall over laughing ! Only a four year old !

Perfect Timing

Rob's work is having a pre-Thanksgiving lunch today . SO , Rob decided to make Baklava and have me make corn . We ran to Basha'a to pick up the supplies , knowing time was running thin . ( It takes 24 hours for Baklava to set right )
We got home , put up everything and popped a frozen pizza in the oven to cook , while we put the Baklava together .When I put the pizza in , I saw a flicker of light in the oven . I thought it was just a reflection of light from the ceiling fan . We continued to put the candy together .
I pulled out the pizza after 25 minutes . Then in went the Baklava . Again I saw a light . I told rob and he said it should be alright . However , it did not take long until smoke began to fill the kitchen . We turned off the oven and got the smoke out . I called my neighbor and finished the cooking at her house .
You guessed it , my stove bit the dust ! Perfect right before Thanksgiving . It looks like we will be going shopping tonight for a new stove .

Hard Times

As I sit here and write this, I am crying . You see today 500 people were layed off where my husband works . Thank God , he was NOT one ! This came as a total shock . No one ever thought this mine would have to do this ; after all , this mine helps keep the world running . Copper is a mineral that is needed .
Please pray for those that lost their jobs today and for those that had to do the laying off . I know this was not easy on anyone :(

Uhhhh ?!!!

I was watching the CMA the other night and saw this video . What the heck ???? Def Leppard being out in the Country Music catagory . I don't know what to think !!!
I love Taylor and def Leppard but together????

It's A Monday !!!!

We had a great time trick or treating . I was going to post pictures but my memory stick broke!!! I feel sick about it . I had a bunch of pictures on it too . ( May be Rob can fix it )
Lucas was a cowboy and Jeremy was a knight . They looked real cute . Wish you could see :(

Our Pumpkins

Last night , we carved out the pumpkins we got last week-end . Rob never got to do anything like this as a kid . He loved it !

Apple Annie's

Last week -end we decided to load up the kids and Mom and go to Apple Annie's Apple Orchard in Willcox. We had a great time ! We went on a hayride , picked out a pumpkin ,cut it , went to the the Sunflower field , then went and ate a BIG piece of apple pie .

20 Shades Of Red

My boys love to watch the wonder pets . One of their favorite episodes , is where a Chimp gets lost in outer space . Never did I think it would cause Lucas to make the statement he made yesterday !

Mom had ordered a new stove and it was delivered yesterday morning . The delivery men were very nice and great with dealing with Lucas' questions . But at one point they became very busy . Lucas was trying to get them to talk to him , but they had to do their work . So , they had to tune him out . He did not like this at all !! He responded with a statement from Wonder Pets ..... " Baby Chimp , take the banana out of your ear ! Now do You hear me ?! " I wanted to crawl under a rock and die !!!! ( especially because one of the men was black ) Needless to say ... they left right after . And we had to get someone else to finish hooking up the stove . They said they could not because the pipes were too old and would not move . Funny thing is , the guy we had to come over and turn it on , had no problem at all . Hmmmm , could it have been the delivery guys got upset with Lucas' statement ? LOL He did not mean anything by it , after all , he is only 4 .:)

Oh , The Almond Of It All

I have been doing the South Beach Diet for sometime now . Eating Almonds has become a big snack around here . My two year old loves them . I did not think much of it , until the other day . I saw him sitting in the hallway picking up an "almond " . I went to get it from him and give him a clean one . Much to my surprise .... it was not an almond but a cockroach !!!!! Yuck !!!!! Thank God ,I got it from him before he put it in his mouth ! Funny how almonds and cockroaches do look a little alike ( especially to a two year old ) LOL .

Are We Done Yet ?

We are almost done with Mom's house . Been putting furniture back in place , putting in some new light fixtures and moving things around . We are now waiting for the stove to be hooked back up , the bathroom to be painted and the new faucet to be put in .
We got a faucet for the claw footed bathtub from a wonderful website ( shop4classics.com) I found one for $170 ! Alot better then the plumbers price . He wanted $300 !!!Crazy huh !
Yesterday the plumber called me at 7 in the morning , asking if the tub had been put back up on bricks ( it has to be above the pee trap ) . I told him it had not been . So , he informed me that he could not put the faucet in until it had been put back up . I thought this was his job ! I was getting way stressed out . This plumber has been the worst !!! He is cheap but I guess it is true .... you get what you pay for .
We got ahold of the company that put in the floor and they came in and put the tub back . Now , we wait again for the plumber . Who knows when that will be ! At least Mom has not paid him yet .
I will be so glad when this is done ! I never want to redo a house agian !

Flushed

We are now down to the last bit of having Mom's house complete . Last Wed . we had the old toilet broke out . The plumber came in to get the measurements and check everything out . he had planned on coming and putting in the new toliet today or tomorrow. Well ..... It does not look like that is going to happen .
i went in and picked out the toliet last Thursday morning . No problem , they had it in stock . However, I needed to order a new faucet fixture for the bathtub . You see , mom has one of those old tubs with the claw feet . Anyway , the people at the plumbers did not seem happy when I told them , I did not want a $1000 faucet . So , they have been dragging thier feet on ordering it . They said that they could not find one . Right !! I found lots on -line for around $126 . I just called them and now they say they found one , but will call me back . It has been over an hour and no call !!!! I am getting very mad ! Mom is coming home this week-end and the water has been cut off for this project and the main line cut . We need it fixed by friday . I am totallay stressed out !!!

Round , And Round We Go

It seems that things just will not slow down ! Rob , my husband , has been working long crazy hours for the last two weeks , doing the music for church twice a week , and renovating my Mom's house . On top of all that , he had to fly out of Phoenix today , to go to Kentucky for his work .
Since , we have not seen much of him lately , he rented us all a hotel down in the town my Mom lives in , last night . He had to go down and meet with a plumber this morning , before driving ti Phoenix . So , that is why we stayed sown there .
We had a really good time . But a very busy time !
Our day stared off with , going over to my mom's house and meeting with the men laying the floor and the plumber . Floor is going down today . The plumber looked at the bathroom and gave measurements for a new toilet and fixtures for the bath tub . Rob then drove up to Phoenix . ( Crazy man , made it in two and 1/2 hours . Normally it takes 3 and 1/2 ! )
I then had to go and pick out the fixtures for the bathroom , and order them . ( Mom is out of town while we are doing all this . ) Next came wal-mart . Then an hour drive home and to Basha's ( groercy store ) . I am ready to crash ! I will be so happy when September is over ! I think October may be a little slower .( I hope !!! )

Dog Days

Yesterday , my neighbor had a dog groomer come up from Safford , to groom the neighborhood dogs ( for a price of course ) .It was a great time ! I finally got to know some of my neighbors . We laughed and talked just like we had been buddys for years . We even talked about having a block party in the future . It is sad that it took a new girl on the block , to get us all together . But I am so glad she did .:)

Itisy Bitsy Spider

Sunday we had a great family day . We sat around watched movies and the rain . After the rain , the boys wanted to go to the park . With much begging , we finally decided to take the there .
The slide had alot of water but that did not stop Lucas from going down . He made his own water slide . He loved it ! His Dad hated it .LOL
We were having alot of fun until .... along came a spider !! This was one you don't want to mess with . So , we grabbed up the boys and left . It maybe a while before we return !

Eating paint Chips

Renovating Mom's house is getting to be a real PAIN !Started painting the ceiling and guess what , It started to peel off and falling down ! So , no , the guys ding it , will be spraying it tomorrow . ( Say a pray that it works ! )
Next , the toilet has to be replaced . This will require drilling a new hole in the floor .
The walls are being filled in all through out the house . You see , the house was build in the late 30's .It is made out of concrete and by a rail road , thus the cracks .
So , tonight , we have to drive down to Safford , rent a storage unit , move all the furniture in it . Then the painting will begin . The floors will be replaced next week , then the toilet . It is alot of work , but I think it will make Mom feel better . I will post pictures soon :)

It's been a while

Life is just now starting to get back to normal , since Dad's passing . We had talked of moving in with Mom but have since , decided to stay put . She does not really want us to move in with her and there is really not enough room .
Thought of buying a house down in Safford , but decided not to . Houses are to expensive . We thought that $200 month rent next to $1000 a month house payment , well , I think you can see for yourself . Also , being an hour away from everything is not so bad . ( Mom is just not herself , guess that is to be expected .)

Mom went and bought paint and new floors . She is fixing the house up , so she will have a nice place to live in . I think it is about time ! It has needed it for years ! I think this is one of the smart things she has decided on .

The waco things , she is doing , is things she sees on TV or reads , applying it to her life . I really hope this ends soon . What do I mean ? Well , Lucas has OCD and ADHD . He has alot of screaming times from this . ( Meds and pray are helping but it still is a part of him ) . So , she can not or should I say , will not babysit for me . She saw a thing on the news where a kid beat up his grandparents , so she tells me " I can't watch him and have him beat me up " . Give me a Break ! A four year old is not going to beat her up ! I told her to just discipline him when he acts up . Anyway ..... It is just stupid things like that . Or another thing , her Dad's wife died not to long ago
( my wicked step -grandma ) and her kids took all of his money so , now she thinks me and Rob are wanting to take everything of hers . There is NO WAY we would even think of doing such a thing . All of this hurts very much . I am just have to let her do her thing and do what ever makes her happy . God is having to give me much Grace .
So , that is what has been going on . Would make a great story for a soap , don't ya think !

I Don't Get It

This is the first place I have ever been to , where people at church don't teach their children to respect the " House Of God " . ever church we have been to , their is no nursery or children's church . I they do have one , it is not for long because no one will do it . Or it is after Praise and worship . They go on about how they want people to get into the worship but let the kids run like wild children during it .
This is very upsetting to me . My husband is a Music minister and works hard to get people into the worship and presents of God , but when you have kids running everywhere , how can you . Yes , I love my kids and want them to learn to worship but in the right way . I am teaching them just as my Grandmother did me , you do not run around , scream , dance , chase each other , wave flags ,eat candy and have a little party ,when service is going on . Church is to worship God in and learn his ways . Not a place for disrespect and rebellion .
There needs to be children's classes to teach them on their level . Did you know , that now days 80% of kids that are now teens and early adults , that went to church as kids , no longer go . HMmm... could it be because no one was there to teach them and they got bored . It sure was not because people made them behave , at least not here in Arizona .
Come on people ... Children are the future !!!!!

July 31 already !!!!

Where does the time go ? I can not believe it is already the last day of July ! This year has been a blur rushing by . The scary thing is ..it is only 5 months til Christmas ! OMG!!!
I feel like a the videos you see ,with a person standing still and the crowd of people rushing by . I still have so much to do since Dad's passing . Got to help Mom go through things and have yard sales and pack up our house so we can move down with her . This will all take some time . And we still don't know what we are going to do for sure.
The fun thing is , Rob got his new Runs timer ( company car ) yesterday . It is a Titian truck . We really like but are a little worried about the gas . It is a HUGE car compared to the jeep we traded in . We have to trade this in in three years . And the good thing is , the company pays for most of it . I think we will be out $ 150 . Not bad :)
Well , that is my summer at the end . Hope things slow down a bit this Fall . And maybe I can go see Drama Mama . Or we can meet up in Tucson , next time we go .

Can You Believe This one ? !

Yesterday , Rob had to fly out of Tucson to Kentucky for work . The Company is paying for the whole trip , even for checking in luggage . He flew out on US Air ( never use them ) . As he was checking in , they informed him , he needed to pay $15 dollars to check in his suitcase . He gave then the Company credit card but it was not good enough . They said they could not take it because his name was not on the card . So , he offered cash . They would not take that . So , he offered his debit card . Guess what , they would not take that ! The lady at the counter then called over a policeman ! The officer could not believe the hard time they were giving Rob . He told Rob to call the US Air office and file a report . In the mean time , the lady at the counter asked Rob to step aside while she checked in the man behind him . This guy had two bags and they charged him $150 a bag plus another $50 . Can you believe this !
Anyway , Rob got back up to check in and the manager had the US Air office on the phone . They asked if the card was a Visa . It was , . So , they said they take payments on Visas . Thank God he made it through ! Now on to security .
When he got to security , he was informed they needed to do an in dept search on him ! ( You guessed it , They Lady at the counter got pissed off and had security do this ) Thank God , Rob has a sense of humor ! He stood there and laughed to himself has they checked everything and swapped it all .
He finally made it to the gate and on to Kentucky .
Flying sucks now days !!!!!

Happy 4th Of July

IT HAPPENED

Last Thursday evening , my Dad passed on . he had a hard week . Thank God , we where here with him and spend the last days with him . I took him his last hamburger :) Even though he felt bad , his last day with us ( the day before he died ) he took the time to read Lucas his new book .
Thursday , hospice was here all day with him . They called me at 3 and told me to come down . So , I called Rob , we loaded the Jeep and drove down to my parents house . We had been here for 10 mins, then it happened . Everyone had went to his room to say good-bye . i was the last . i waled in ( he was sleeping ) told him I loved him , then he took his final breaths . I guess he was waiting for me .
A week has gone by,now is getting better. I am just hurt that Dad left Mom with nothing . Sure she has Grandma's house and a car but no money . He kicked himself over and over again because he did not have a 4o1k .Now all she has is his social security check . Our wonderful government takes her away now .
So , we have got to help her. Rob does not make alot of money . We are scraping to make ends meet . It looks like later this summer , we will be moving in with my Mom and building on to the house .
I really wish the church would pay Rob part -time . But everyone think because he works up at the mine , that we are rich . ( Guess what ... we are not ! )n The Pastor of the church Rob is music minster of , makes more then he does.
Any way , sorry for venting but thanks for letting me :)
This is a hard time , but I know with God , we will make it !

My Hero

Sitting and watching the things that have been going on in my life , I have to say that truly , my Mom is my all time hero . I may never tell her this but I think she already knows. I look up to her so much and wish that I could be more like her .
She is a women of great faith and very dedicated to her family . She has overcame a near death sickness and gives all she can to everyone .

9 years ago she became very ill , with lots of pain and throwing up . She never had been sick ,that I can remember . This was not an easy time . The Dr found that she had Pancrentitice and Gall stones . They had to wait for 3 months before they could do surgery . She was a very sick women ! We they finally did the surgery , they had to remove 90% of her pancreas . She also got Candious of the Blood ( a yeast infection in the blood ) . They told us she would not make it . But , through much faith and prayer she is here today . She no longer has the candious !

Through all this , my Dad had and has Emphezema . He is in the last stages and on Hospice now . My Mom stays by his side all the time , giving him food , water , and meds . She is worn out but keeps on going and giving all the love she has . She has only let me see her cry a couple of times through this .

She also is always there to listen to me and my problems . Understanding and praying for me and my family . She helps me so much with the boys too .
My mom is an amazing person . Always helping others and loving God with her whole heart . I don't know what I would have or would do without her .I thank God everyday for my hero ... my mom .

BIG TURN AROUND

Well , it looks like our trip is back on . We got together with the Pastor and the rest that wanted to go , and we bought our plane tickets . We found tickets for $338 a piece! Our timeshare gave us a little bit of a hard time but in the end , they got us a room .
We will be going to the Revival in Lakeland and going to the wedding . Lucas is now the ringbarrior .
I am ready to get out of town . The wedding is not my fav thing to go to as of I think they should have gone to the JP . but .. anyway ...
I am looking forward to the revival and the beach and just Florida . I really miss that place.

Whatever

Well ,after looking at the price of things , it looks like we most likely will not be going to Florida , next month. Money and my sister-in-laws additude , would be the reason . We called her and to tell her we would be at the wedding but no answer or returned phone call . Well, after about a week , she finally called . To inform us that if we did not want to stay at our timeshare , we could stay at her house , because she would not be there . She and her husband to be will be staying at Disney World with his family . And she made sure to mention that they were paying $700 a night . Ok , fine ! She always says she has no money ! Whatever !
I think the whole wedding she is having is stupid anyway . She and her future husband have been living together for 2 years ( why not just go to the JP and get it over with ) and did I fail to mention this is her second time to get married ( ok that is ok , if you had not done what she had )She had a n affair with her ex- hsband's best friend , while they were still married . And he was living with them at the time . Ok , enough said about her .
And Our stupid time -share sucks ! First of all , they will not let us trade weeks ( they told us when we bought it , we could trade ANYTIME of the year ) And now , they want $500 for the week and $130 for extra days needed . This is just one of the many things they have done wrong . So , I tell you , never buy with Westgate ! They SUCK !!!!!!!!!!
We , will see what else we can do for our summer vacation . Right now it looks like ,fixing my van and paying off creadit cards are all that we will be doing . Fun , fun , fun ! WHATEVER!!!

Welcome Summer

I can not believe time is going by so fast ! Summer is already upon us , with god forbidden temps. ( already ) It has been over 100 for the last 3 days ! That is hot for the mountains ! And did I forget to mention , the dirt flying ! Living by the copper mine does not help !
Anyway , I have been planning a little vacation . There is a huge revival in Lakeland , FL. , and a bunch of people from church want to go . Well , since we have a huge timeshare in Orlando and my sister-in- law is getting married ( again) next month ; I and Rob decided , why not go . So , we are planning on going June 22 - June 30 . We will be driving two hours to see his parents , to St. Petersburg , but that is ok . And just maybe ... if I play my card right , we can go to Disney for a day .
I hope to lose 20 pounds more by then . Than I can go to the beach too ! As of now , I am on my third week and have now lost 10 pounds . I am on phase 2 of my diet . I feel like I am cheating on it now , but I am not . This is a diet you have got to try if you need a diet . :)

On day 11 ( Can You Believe It )

yes , I am on day 11 today ! When I weighted on Sat . I had lost 5 pounds and 2 inches . At that time it looked like I was losing a pound a day ! ( I will weigh again this week-end .
I feel alot better . I am not tired all the time , depression is going away and I like what I have to eat . :) We went out for Mother's Day , the bread plate was placed in front of me , but I was strong and did not eat any ! I have been very good . I guess when the DR says you have to do it , you will listen . That is when it becomes life and death ! And I am sure my heart is happier too .
This diet really works !
I have been doing exercise with our new Wii . the boxing is wonderful for this . I plan on buying the new Wii Fit also .
So , I guess you could say , I am on the South Beach ( Wii ) diet :)LOL

Day 5

I have made it through five days of my diet now ! Yesterday I ate egg whites with cheese and salsa , tomato juice , lunch .. Steak Chili , water and ricotta cheese with sugar free Hersey's and splenda and Dinner a grilled chicken salad. Oh yes I had two snacks also ... Sugar-free jello and cheese stick . This is not feeling like a diet 1 I love the food I get!
I got up today ate egg white with mushrooms ,onions and cheese . Drank tomato juice . And have had 4 almonds and cheese for a snack . I feel great . I put on my jeans today and I actually need a belt ! Awesome !!!
The South Beach Diet does work :) One more week of Phase 1 , then i can have fruit again . I can not wait for that day :)

Day 1

Well ,I began my diet today ( The South Beach Diet ). i had an egg omelte with canaidian bacon , cheese and salsa ; with tometo juice and green tea . Not bad ! ( it was egg whites ) Next , I will have a snack ( cheese stick ) , lunch a greek salad and afternoon snck ( sugar -free fudgecycle ) and dinner ... a bean burrito .And this is the Hard phase !!!! I think I can do it !
The first two weeks , I can not have any fruit or cerel . The whole diet ... no white things ( patatoes , sugar , rice or white flour products )

What's going on

Yes , it has been awhile since I last posted ! Things have been crazy around here . It seems we have been living at the Dr's ! Now our Government has made it a law that children on meds for ADHD , have to have EKGs and Echo grams , so I have been trying to set all of this up . Crazy thing is ... no one wants to do it because Lucas is under 18 . I have been pulling my hair out !! But , finally today , I got ahold of Tucson and they have a Child Cardeo Dr that come down once a month . ( Thank God ) So that will take place in May .
I changed Dr because the one I had been seeing , was not helping me at all . He just would say things , like , I was over weight and needed to do something about it . I asked if he would check my Tyroid .. he never did nor did he answer me . He also just about killed my friends husband by giving him the wrong meds . So , I moved on !
My new dr is wonderful and the one that helped save my Mom 7 years ago . He looked at my files and found that I had heart damage . Something no one had told me before ! He ran more test on me and my cholesterol is too high . So , he has put me on the South Beach Diet . We are also waiting for results of test done on my thyroid ( a thyroid problem can be lenghed with high cholsterol , high blood pressure , depressing , fatuige and weight gain ) I will post on the results as soon as I hear . And keep up to date on the results from this diet . Fun , Fun , Fun !

Hero

This week -end was a very busy week-end . Bills , to pay , groceries to buy and Dr . visits . So , I took the van down to Safford ( the place all had to be done ) and Rob took the Jeep . He had to get back to work by 6 Monday Morning and I had all the appointments Monday afternoon .
All day the word "brakes " kept coming to my mind .All I kept thinking of , was what if the brakes went out on me , on the way home . I shook it off , because I did not hear any noise from them while in town .
4:30 came around , all the errands had been done, and now it was time to get everyone ( the two boys , two cats and dog ) and everything loaded into the van . I really hate the drive home . It is a very dangerous road through the mountains .
While going around one of the sharpest corners ,trying to pump the brakes , there were no brakes ! Then the ABS light came on . I began to pray . Finally , I got through the rough part . Called Rob , no answer ! Crap , what was I to do . I tryed again and again . Finally , I got through to him . He met me and we traded cars . We made it home safe ! :)

New House

Rob and I talked about all the negs and positives of moving last night . It seems we have decided to stick it out here in Arizona . Besides , we can not get out of the buying of the house now. It will be nice to have and I think it will make me feel better . The only bad thing is , I have to get a job . YUCK ! I have not worked in four years and really not looking forward to going back .Not sure where to even find one in this little town . I am sure I will find something . But until then ... I will sit and enjoy my kids , some hot tea and Russell Stover International candy :).

Call Me Crazy

Lately I have had Florida on my mind . ALOT !!!! I am really missing it there ( in St. Petersburg , FL ) NOt because of family but because I love it there . It is a beautiful place . Lots to do :) And I miss the pelicans . I love to go and feed them .
I miss the beaches , the sunsets , The Buccaneers , Disney being right there , Busch Gardens , the Palm trees and Church ( Southern Style )oh and the food ( mainly Greek ).
There is nothing to do in this little town . My kids have no friends . I am tried of the dirt . The church Rob has been playing music for , is going down the tubes . He just bought a $4000 keyboard and it seems like everyone but him is playing it .
I am ready to go back to Florida . Sounds crazy huh ? The church Rob grew up in says they can use him and there are a lot of Planning jobs there that pay alot more then here . So , we will see what happens . I will be praying for God's will .
Mom says she would like to go there too after Dad passes .
I MUST BE GOING CRAZY !!!! LOL

Running on Full

Some may think that ADHD is just being hyper but there is more to it then that . The person with it seems to be in their own little world . And from this , there are alot of temper tantrums ( meltdowns as I like to call them ))

Lucas began to show this signs around 5 months , we just did know what it was . I was flying to our new home in Jacksonville , FL from a visit from Arizona , when the uncontrollable crying began . At the time , we thought it was lactose problems . The next bad one was his first time in the church nursery . Again we though it was lactose problems . This would continue on when he would get mad ( usually when we would leave him with a babysitter ) . The fit would get so bad he would throw up . It was the thought of lactose problems until he was three and we saw him begin to stick his hands down his throat to make himself throw up when he was mad.
He did not walk until he was 18 months old . I should say running , he never walked !From then on I was chasing the ever-ready bunny .
I took him in for his normal check ups and all the DRs would say was " he is probably ADHD , good luck " . No one ever told us about helping him as he got older .
Finally , we moved to Arizona when he was 2 . Took him in for his check up and once again , no help ! They just said , he has alot of energy .
I was going crazy ! I knew something was wrong with my child . The meltdowns were getting worse and the hyperness was so bad , he was not sleeping much .
It was just a month ago , I found a Dr willing to help . The Dr did alot of test on Lucas and has diagnosed him as ADHD and probably OCD . He is going to a neurologist in May . And now on Ritilin . It has done wonders ! He is now talking clear ( before his speech was very jibbery ) he is now working with potty training ( and he will be 4 in 3 weeks ) never before did he have time to go potty , ands he is doing pre school work at home ( he is very smart for his age )
You would not believe all the negative feed back I get ! People are very mad at me for having him on meds . But you know what ... they are working and the Dr is keeping a close watch on him .
I am glad I have finally found some DRs willing to help him . Did you know that if a person does not get help with ADHD when they are young , they can hurt themselves very badly or some one else . They can turn to drugs as they get older ( to help with the edginess they feel ) they can have bad car wrecks because they are unable to pay attention . So , I have choose to get my child help . So , he can have a better life and feel better .

Living with a child with ADHD

My oldest son , Lucas has been told by the Dr that he has , ADHD . I am going to share with you all what it is like to have a child with this problem . I have wished for a support group in my area , but have yet to find one . So, by writing this , it may come to help others .
Lucas was born 6 weeks early , March 12 , 2004 . We were living in Mississippi at the time . The Drs there seem to not care about their patients , As you will read about in this Blog .
I had a very hard time in my pregnancy . I threw up the whole time . Had high blood pressure ( that was not helped with ) and prego diabetes ( not informed of until 8 months of pregnancy ) . I also had a very bad kidney infection and gave meds that were 10 times the dose that should have been given ! Thank God , i am a RX tech and picked up on this and did not ask them , but went back to my DR and showed her this . She them put me on the right meds .
A week before Lucas was born , I had a DR appointment . We talked that I would need a c-section because my bones on my hips were very weak and could break if I had a natural child birth .
The next week , I began to bleed . It was time for another check-up that day , so I went in . They put me in the hospital because I was dialed to 4 ! No pain was ever felt . I asked the Dr if she would do c- section , as we had talked about , SHE REFUSED !
I was in labor for 19 hours . I never had any pain , but felt I better get an epidural at dilating of 7 . The Dr made me push for 3 and 1/2 hours . During this time I began to throw up blood ( and a lot of it ) . Lucas' heart dropped and so did mine . Finally , an ER c-section was to take place.
He was born with problems of breathing and had to me rushed to the Children's Miracle Hospital in Alabama . Let me tell you something , there is nothing as hard as having your new born taking away from you by strangers , Never get to hold him before they take him away !
He was in there for a week . It was three days bdfore I even saw him or held him ! My husband took good care of him those three days .
The reason I go back this far with this story , is because they believe , his birth may have had a reason for him having ADHD .
I will continue on with this tomorrow .

Need a Kiss

I have been so busy the last too days . Cleaning , chasing kids and taking care of animals. We got a new dog yesterday . He is a malamute and very big !!!! So , I have been trying to get him comfortable . Lots of work and money . Bought a big chain and put him on it . But he got all tangled up , so I had to fix that . It was very heavy ! Now we bought an electric collar so he can run .
The reason for buying him , we are moving out to the country in a couple of months . There are lots of desert wild life out there ( hawks , bobcats , coyotas etc ) and he can take care of them . Now I just need to buy a big dog run to put him in when the kids go out . He likes them and is a bog teddybear but I am afaird he may forget how big he really is . He is just like the dog , Buck , in "The Call Of The Wild " ( one of my favorite books , by Jack London )

Anyway , I was fixing dinner after doing all this , when Rob brings Jeremy into see me . Jeremy was holding out his hands , pouting , saying " Mommy " . Rob said " Do you want to tell Mommy what you had , or do you want me to ?" Then he holds out a Hersey Kiss to me . I guess he thought I was in need of a kiss from a long hard day .

Looking Up

Things are looking up ! Lucas is now on meds for his ADHD and doing much better ! He is very focused now . The potty training is going good now too ! He still had some meltdowns but they don't last as long . We are still waiting for the insurance to ok him having an MRI and CAT scan . We have to see the neuralogist first ( that will be April or May in Tucson )
We went and speced out our new house yesterday ! It is going to be very nice ! A fireplace in the master bath and one in the living room . That one will be see through into the office area . We are putting it outside of town and will have a view of mountions all around us ! I can't wait !
And the jeep is now back to us . I loved the rentals but I sure missed the Jeep !:)
I will keep my head up . Good things are coming our way !!!!

TRYING TO HAVE AND ANNIE ATTITUDE

What is an Annie attitude , you may ask ? Well, It is like little Annie " The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow " It seems like the Storm just keeps on pounding down. I know people don't like to hear all the bad , but I need to vent .
This year has just began and it sucks ! My Dad is getting weaker every minute . Just got out of the hospital, again , yesterday . This time , he had a staph ( MRSA) infection from the tubing in his nose.
My son , Lucas has been having alot of hyperness and meltdowns . No one has wanted to help me , until two weeks ago . i found a DR. that is willing. He is running all kinds of test on him . But the waiting is driving me crazy . He had blood work done last week . Now we are waiting for them to get an MRI and Cat Scan scheduled . The Dr. seems to think he has ADHD and OCD . He says from the birth
he went through , it may have caused all of this.
He was an ER C- Section . He was breech , however , the stupid DR. did not ever tell me this . She let me go into labor for 19 hours and then try to push for 3 and a half. So , he had to be ER c-section almost losing us both. He had bruises all over his head .Thank God he and I are still here . And he is very smart just hyper and VERY OCD !Thinking of going back and sueing the DR in Mississippi that delivered him !
Well , I had a little hope lifting . We found a house to buy . However , that bubble was popped . We have been approved but my husband does not think we can do it . I believe these thoughts are coming from my "wonderful " in-laws.Of course . i do not sare say this to my husband . He thinks they can do no wrong . But they are all ways butting in . I am sooo sick them doing this ! But I have to sweet little me and go on , or have marriage problems . I am trying to be the good little submive wife !
Any way , sorry for the sad story . I really am trying to have an Annie Attitude !

Happy Christmas Eve

I was just taking a bath when I heard a firetruck go by . This scared me because it does not happen in this town unless someone has been hurt up at the Mine . So , I got out of the tub , threw my PJs back on , wet hair and all , and ran outside ,with Lucas running behind . I was in for a shock !!! It was not an ER but the fire department , with Santa ! They were going from house to house to see all the kids ! ( Stupid me did not have my camera ) Now Lucas is bouncing all around the house ! I love this town !

The Chair

One of our trees in the front yard had died . So , we called the grounds
people to come take care of it . ( that is one of the nice thing about living in company housing ) It took a couple of weeks but they finally came .
Lucas loves to watch people do things . So , i let him stand at the front door to watch the tree get cute down . The lady that is over the grounds people came up to talk to him . She thought he was so cute . She told him she would be back to cut the tree stump into a chair for him .
Three hours went by and I thought she would not be back , but low and behold , she made it . I called Lucas into the living room to see her. He was so excited ! She came up said hi and off to the stump she went . On went the chain saw and she began her creation .Finally , she was done and called us out to see. It was so cute ! Lucas loved it . Now he has a place to sit and watch the neighbors play basketball .
Just one more reason I love this little town ! :)

Dance of the shopping carts

This morning , I woke up at 4 AM , wide awake . So , I got up and decided to go shopping at Walmart . I was one of the first people there . Grapped a shopping cart and waited in line for the store to open .
Five o'clock came around and the fun began ! I had already looked at the ad and decided what I wanted to buy . The store was lined with palets of stuf in the main asless . Around and around I went , picking up things to buy . It was astually fun ! People were nice and not pushy . You must think I was on a another planet . I could not beleive it , the spirit of Christmas is still around ! And people have it here this year ! They were even giving up some of there thingd , so that others could have them ! This was like a dream ! I swear I was awake and not sleep walking !
I found all the things I planned on buying except for two of them . And all in 30 minutes . I even found a line that had no one else in it ! HOt dog !! I spend $136 and got a bunch of stuff ! What a wonderful day !

Dear Santa

This Friday Night , the town here is having a Christmas lighting down town . There will be all kinds of family things to do . And , Santa will be there. We plan on taking the kids . So , I asked Lucas what he was going to tell Santa he wanted . I had to laugh at what he said , " A box of nails , a hammer , a helicopter . and a guitar . " Don't know what has on his mind to do with all this. So , I asked him . He said , " I need to make toys , then fly them to kids and play music ." Well , Lucas , we will see what Santa can do . :)

Crazy Dream

I had a dream that I missed Christmas ! Can you believe that ? Christmas is my favorite time of the year , how could this be ?
Of coarse this is also the busist time too ! This year Dec . 8 th I will be going to see Michael W. Smith's christmas concert , The 14 is my anaversiery , then christmas , and on the 28 th my husbands Birthday ! Wow , my head is already spinning !

Dog Days

Yesterday Morning , I was sitting enjoying my Coffee , when I saw a New dog walking down the street . He looked to be a Blue Heller cross Hound dog . I thought nothing of it until he came over our fence to visit my dog .He would not leave ! I tried everything . Finally , I called the animal control . They got here to find him sound asleep in my back yard , as if he belonged here . The animal control guy said " You got him ! We have been tiring to get this dog for 2 weeks now ." He had been going into the local Basha's,into the meat department stealing steaks and cheese . But no one could get to him . I guess he liked me and our home . So, you could saw I caught the town theif ! I hope they find him a home our his owners .

Small Town Halloween

We just got back from taking the boys Trick Or Treating . And I have to say , it was the best Halloween I have ever seen . We live in a mining town in AZ , so it is very safe . The whole town was out ! It seemed like a Halloween from the 50's or from an old Halloween family movie .
Lucas was of coarse Spider man ( who wasn't ) and Jeremy was a bear .Everyone acted like Lucas was the only Spider man . And all was as nice as could be . It was like I was dreaming .
We first went down our block , then came home and handed out candy , while I got the little one to bed . Mind you our bags where half way full . And not with crap candy but the good stuff ! Then Lucas and I went down to the streets where EVERYONE was at . I only took down 3 blocks of that , and we were very tired . So, back home , we came with now a full bag of good candy . Very good Halloween . Wish it could be this safe everywhere . Now to try to get Lucas to bed .LOL!!! Good luck , huh ! :)

Numb

The winds of change are upon me . My Dad has been sick with Emphysema for about 10 years now. And now the final stages are kicking in . This is very hard and probably harder on me because I am an only child . The only way I can truly vent is here on my blog .It is too hard to talk about . yes , I have my husband but it is hard for him to talk about it too .

A couple of weeks ago Mom had to rush Dad to Tucson , V A hospital . He was having strange blood pressure readings . Very low and then spiking High . Breathing not good too . The Dr were afraid he had phenomena . ( Thank God he did not ) He stayed there for 4 days .

During all this my Mom is becoming someone I do not know . Very hateful and saying things that cut to the bone . I am sure it is the stress of everything but it still hurts.

Dad told me that at this point , he does not go to the hospital to get better but to help cope . He is ready to go . He is just waiting . They say that he could go at any time . But he does not want me to know that the Dr's have said this .

I know all are appointed a time to die but his is hard .Mainly the treatment from them . I will be glad when this is all over . I know that sounds bad but I am tried of seeing him go through this .
What does emphysema do ? Well , it is a slow suffocating death . You have no energy . It becomes hard to walk , talk , eat , go to the bathroom and bath . All takes too much energy . You end up on oxygen 24 / 7 and most of the time in bed . Most die from heart failure or coughing and chocking to death , then some go in their sleep . It is not a pretty thing . So , if you smoke .... think twice . Do you want to end up like this ? Not only is it hard on you but think of your family .

PMS + A SCREAMING 3 YEAR OLD = AHHHH!!!!!

I do not know what has gotten into my 3 year old ! He has become a hard to handle child ! I swear he is 3 going on 16 . He screams all the time , whines and tells me and my husband to " shut up " . I am ready to call in supernanny ! And yes , we desipline him . Nothing is working ! Help ! I feel like I am failing as a Mom :( . Thank God the one year old is good ( hopefully he will stay that way ) The two are like night and day . The bad thing is they already fight . I need a vacation !

FOR THE LOVE OF FREEDOM

The other day , I was blog surfing and surfing on other sites and began to find many blogs from our American soldiers. To see their pictures and read their stories , my heart filled with pain and tears began to flow down my cheeks . We do not even know what all they have and are going through for us . They have a deep love for mankind and our country . The have and are putting thier lifes on the line every moment to protect us . Sacrificing their minds and body , all for love ! How many of us can say that we would do that ? The Bible says we are to love our neighbors as our self , and no greater love then those that lay down thier life for their brother . I love our soilders , pray for them daily and want to say " Thank you !!!!!" I challenge you to thank them when you see them . Remember what all they are doing for you ! Only one other loved us as much and more , Jesus Christ .

Fall colors ( will a girl ever learn)

Fal began last Sat . so I thoguht I would make my hair a darker blonde . Went to good old Wlmart and bought a carmal blonde . Looked like a nice color . Got to my Mom's and put it on , waited the 25 minutes , then rinsed it out . Oh , my Goodness !! It had turned GREY !!! Now normally a carmel color has a red undertone , not this one ! It had ash ( green ) ! Well , Rob likes red so I thought lets try red . Off to the store again . Bought red and went home . Put it on , waited and rinsed . What the heck!!!! It was now burgandy ! Rob said don't worry , we will get it fixed .
He called my friend , Lee , who is a hairdresser and also on his praise team at church. She said she would fix it . So , off to her house we went . Now mind you , they where to have band practice in two hours from the time we got there .
We began the process . She weaved in blondes with foil . Time got away from us and yes , she missed practice . However , being the bosses wife , it was all good !:) We then put a brown on the hair left out of the foil . Waited and the rinsed and cut . It turned out so cute and I love the color ! All of this and she did not want any money . Thank God for friends ! ( Yes , I paid her anyway )
now the funny thing is .....I am also a hairdresser , so you would think I would stop playing with my poor hair . Someday it may fall out and call me dirty names !LOL

Natasha

This is in loving memory of my dear Siamese , Natasha . Yesterday , I had to have her put to sleep . She had Feline Leukemia . She was 5 years old . This is a hard thing to see a cat go through . She stopped eating , and had a hard time going to the potty , and got where she could not walk .
Natasha was a wonderful cat and I am so glad she was a part of our family . We got her when she was little thing , fit in the palm of our hands . She would meet me at the door everyday , ready for milk and petting . She had been a part of Rob and I from the beginning of our relationship .
After I had Lucas , she would help watch out for him . The same for Jeremy , when he came along .She loved those boys ! Even though she was so sick , she continued to watch out for them . Sleeping under their beds .
She was also a great hunter . She had no claws but still could kill the scorpions and all the other bugs that came along .
I think she knew she was getting very sick . Two months ago , she would wake me up ever night , hitting me in the head and then having me get up with her . She would eat and then come back to bed , snuggling up to me as close as she could get .
She also loved to play catch . And we had her toilet trained !
I am going to miss Tasha ! She was a very special cat .

Pulling out my hair

The last couple of days have been something else ! Rob had to work this week-end so me and the boys went to my Mom's . The ride went ok until half way and then the boys started to fight . Yes , already at this age !
After we got there , I had Lucas go outside to play for awhile. He loves to play outside his nana's. Later I and mom went out to see what he was doing . We found him talking to the boys next door . ( These are the neighbors that had the Pit bull , They have got rid of him ) The two next door kids were saying that they wanted to fight Lucas and my dog ! I told them we do not fight ! Then , I took Lucas in . Being 3 , he did not know what the boys were saying . I wish this people would move away !
The rest of the week-end went ok . I drove home yesterday only to find , my kitchen was full of ants! I put the baby in his crib , had Lucas go play outside with the dog , and stated to kill ants and clean them up . Fun, Fun . Fun !
I thought I had got reed of them .Was I wrong ! I opened the frig only to find ants inside ! What the ........! I did not think they would go in there ! So, I called Rob . He went and got me some traps , vinegar and killer . I once again cleaned and killed ants.So, far , so good !
I hope this day gets better . It is only 11:00 . I still have a whole day to go .

Count Down

Lucas , my 3 year old , is soo excited today . Why ? Because High School Musical 2 will be on tonight .He loves the first movie . Funny , he sings with it and does the dances . The kid is just like me , he loves music ! He heard the commercial for the movie and came running all the way across the house to the living room . This will be a fun night . I hope the second one is as good as the first .

First haircut

I finally gave in and cut Jeremy's hair . I had a hard time making myself do it . Because he has pretty curly , blond hair . But we did it ! He did not even cry !

SWEET WORDS

THIS WEEK-END , I WAS NOT FEELING TOO WELL . I HAD A HEADACHE FROM HELL ! HOWEVER, I RECEIVED THE BEST MEDICINE YOU COULD ASK FOR . LUCAS, MY 3 YEAR OLD , CAME RUNNING UP TO ME AND CALLED ME , PRINCESS MOMMY . I ASKED HIM WHAT MADE HIM CALL ME THAT , AND HE SHOWED ME MY WEDDING PICTURE . HE SAID HE HAD A PRINCESS MOMMY . THAT MADE MY WHOLE LIFE ! MY HEAD STARTED TP FEEL ALOT BETTER AFTER THAT !

All Dogged Out

Right after I wrote my last post , Rob and I got out and cleaned up my parents yard . I went in to shower and after I got out and redressed , I saw rob outside taking pictures . I asked my Dad what he was doing . He informed me that the dog next door had gotten out again and was coming after my dog again ! Rob was taking Pictures of the dog to show that he was out . He also took a video of him running around and the other neighbor putting him back in his yard . We called animal control and it took them 30 minutes to get there .
After they got there , Rob talked to them and they called the police. The animal control guy said he and the cop from the first night , were both afraid of the dog too . They could not keep him because the did not have enough evidence against him . Meaning he did not hurt anyone , so they had to give him back. He also told Rob that the owner was 18 , did not live next door , but his girlfriend's Mom did and she was taking care of the dog . he also told the animal control guy that he was a lier , the cop was a leir and I and my Mom were liers . By the way the dog does not have rabbie shots and they still gave him back with the guy promising to get them .
The police took the report and told Rob to bring the pictures and video to the station . Now we have to wait for a court hearing . The dog is chained up next door . However, I have seen a Pitbull( the one here in Morenci ) break a big chain before . Wish us luck !

The Pits

You will never guess what I saw today . We came down to my parent's late today and as soon as we drove up , there "he " was , the pit bull from last week !!! Yes , the guy next door went and got him back from animal control today . Oh, but it gets better ... He came over and told my Mom ( before we got in ) that I was lieing . That his dog never left the yard , could not jump the fence and would never come after anyone . She told him , oh yeah , he jumped on the fence and over in the yard and came after us . All he did was turn away and go home . Now the fight is on !!! I will be going to the police . They said they would call us and tell us if the dog was coming back . Guess what ? No phone calls ! I am HOT !!!! What is it going to take ? Someone getting killed . Like a little 3 year old did in Show Low , Where it is now a crime to own one of these monsters .

History repeats itself

Yesterday our neighbor across the street's pitbull broke free from his chain . He was running the town all day . My husband called animal control when he got home . No answer . He called the police but they did not respond .
An hour later , some of the neighbor girls from down the street were walking their husky and guess what . The pit bull attacked the dog in front of our house . Another neighbor was walking by and grabbed the pitbull , pulled it of the husky for a moment . then the fight was on again ! I ran outside , screamed at my husband to get his gun and call 911 . Finally the guy got the dogs apart , the girls ran home with their dog . The pitbull broke free and started to jump our fence to come after me and my dog !I was fast enough to get us inside ! The pitbull then began to chase the kids outside ! They got in their house and the mom jumped in a neighbors truck ! Rob ran out with his gun , as did the guy that had broke up the fight . They chased the dog down the street and cornered him at the end of the block , where some people were petting him ! Rob informed them of the attack . They stepped away slowly . They found a rope and got it around the dog and waited for the police and animal control.
They finally showed up . Got the reports and gave the guns back . But the bad part .... a judge will decide if the dog will go down or back to the owners !

I HATE PITBULLS !

THIS WEEK-END , WAS A VERY CRAZY WEEK-END ! WE WENT DOWN TO MY PARENTS LIKE EVERY WEEK-END . I HAD TO GO TO THE DR. TO CHECK MY BLOOD PRESSURE . IT WAS FINE , BUT THE DR. TOLD ME I HAVE TO LOSE 40 POUNDS IN 6 MONTHS . I HAVE BEEN TRYING ! I HAVE LOST 7 INCHES BUT NO WEIGHT.
THEN THE RAIN CAME DOWN , LIKE FLORIDA RAIN . NOT NORMAL FOR ARIZONA. I THINK IT MADE EVERYONE GO NUTS ! NY PARENTS NEIGHBORS HAVE A PIT BULL . THEY LET HOME RUN ALL OVER AND NO ONE DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT . I HAVE A WESTIE ( WEST HIGHLAND TERRIOR ) AND WE BRING HIM WITH US WHEN WE GO DOWN TO SAFFORD. HE IS A HAPPY GO LUCKY DOG , DOES NOT MAKE TROUBLE AT ALL. ANYWAY , SAT. NIGHT , MY DOG WAS SITTING UP ON THE FRONT POURCH , MINDING HIS ON BUSSINESS . I WAS PUTTING THE BOYS DOWN FOR BED , MY HUSBAND WAS AT PRAISE TEAM PRACTRICE FOR CHURCH . AS I WAS HEADING BACK INTO THE LIVINGROOM , I HEARD MY DOG CRYING . I LOOKED OUT AND HE WAS BEING CHASED AND ATTACKED BY THE PITBULL. I CALLED MCKENIZE IN . THANK GOD HE IS FAST ! HE SLIDE IN THE HOUSE AND I TOOK HIM OUT TO THE SHED ,AFTER CHECKING HIM . HE WAS FINE , JUST HAD A SCATCH ON HIS CHEST AND WAS LIMPING A LITTLE .
I CALLED THE POLICE . THEY WERE THERE IN 5 MIN. ! BUT AS I WAITED , THE PITBULL JUMPED UP ON MY MOM'S 5 FOOT ROCK FENCE AND COME INTO THE YARD AFTER ME AND MY MOM ! MY MOM SHOOK MY DAD'S CANE AT HIM AND HE LEFT . HE THEN JUMPED UP ON THE HOOD OF THE CAR AND BARKED AND GROWELED !
AFTER THE COP GOT THERE , HE TOOK MY REPORT , AND WENT NEXT DOOR . THE DOG CAME AFTER HIM!! HE COULD NOT GET THE PEOPLE TO COME OUT . 20 MINUTES LATER, ANIAML CONTROL CAME . THE DOG TOOK AFTER HIM !! THE PEOPLE FINALLY CAME OUT , TALKRD TO THE POLICE AND LET THE ANIAML CONTROL TAKE HIM AWAY . THE COP WAS VERY NICE AND TOLD ME , HE DID NOT WANT ANYONE TO GET HURT . HE WAS CONCERD FOR MY DAD ( HE IS IN A WHEEL CHAIR NOW ) AND FOR LUCAS .

WHY DO POEPLE HAVE THESE MONSTERS ANYWAY ? AND ON TOP OF HAVING THEM ... JUST LET THEM RUN WILD AND DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEM ! THANK GOD HE IS GONE AND EVERYONE IS ALRIGHT !

WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT

I was reading the news paper from my home town tonight and found the strangest , yet scary story . It seems that some teens went to Burger King and the girl working the window got very mad . She put sink sanitizer in their food ! She got arrested with a $30,000 bond . She should have gotten more then that ! The reason for her getting mad....... she had charged them for a drink they did not order and they asked for their money back . Makes you think twice about going to a restaurant ! I will be sure to be very nice. I don't even want to know what all they do to food ,when they get ticked off .maybe I'll just cook at home from now on .

AFTER THE RAIN

Sunday late afternoon , we were headed back up to our home , in Morenci . The ski was clearing from a rain shower that just taking place . As we turned to go into the Blackhills , There was a huge rainbow . The biggest and the brightest , I have ever seen ! It shown so bright that the desert hills looked white , like fresh snow had falling on them . The closer into the hills we got , the brighter the rainbow . We were going to drive through it ! I have never been that close to a rainbow before . It was like you could reach out and touch it ! As I looked up , there was another one above it . It looked like a rainbow tunnel . Two rainbows ( very bright , and rain clouds in between . It was awesome , and of course I had my camera packed away . :( I think this was God showing us that everything was going to be alright . He is taking care of us ! Many things have been coming up against us but now I know all will be fine . God sent a beautiful thing to show us . For the rainbow is a promise of God ( peace after the storm )

Too much TV

Lately i have been trying to make my three year old son , feel like he is my big helper.I thought this might help him stop having so many meltdowns from jealousy of his baby brother . When I do dishes , I set him up on the counter and let him help rinse . When I feed the baby , I let him help pick out what jar of baby food to give Jeremy . I let him help with the cooking . And when I do laundry , he loves to help put clothes in the washer and get them out of the dryer . Well, today , he ran and started getting out clothes from the dryer ,to put them on my bed . By the time I got into my room , he had put on his daddy's underwear over his shorts . I thought I was going to die laughing , especially when he told me , that he was Sponge Bob . Maybe , I let him watch a little too much TV .

KABOOM !

Well, it seems the 4th has came and went . It just seems like people don't get into it like they once did . Everything is opened for business , hoping to make big bucks with the 4th of July sales .
I can remember growing up , that the 4th was always a big celebration , right up there with Christmas . We would celebrate it with my Grandma when I was little . She was a very patriotic person . Everything would be done up in red , white and blue .
The best 4th was when I was 6 years old . Grandma and Grandpa came down from Pagosa Springs . We went down to the park that afternoon , to watch a reinactment of the civil war . I will never forget it ! It was awesome ! Next , she bought me ( still to this day,the best ice cream I have ever had . It was red ,white and blue with stars in it . Next , we where off to the fireworks !!!
Yesterday , I was longing for the good old 4th of July . Unfortunately , My husband had to work and it was to hot (108 degrees ) and gas too high , to drive down to my Mom's for the parade . So, me and the boys stayed in and played all day . Has the sun was setting , I began to get a little sad , no fire works seemed to be around . So, we sat down to watch some on TV . All of a sudden , I heard a loud BOOM ! My three year old got out of bed , ran to the front door . The baby woke from his sleep .My husband and I got up to see what was going on. It was a fire work show almost in our back yard !!! Phelps's Dodge was putting on on of the best I have ever seen ! We could have not gotten better seats anywhere else ! Here are some of the pictures from it . My $th of July had a great ending ! And the boys loved it too!

Happy Fourth of July

Words of a Three Year Old

We have began to potty train our three year old son. ( I think it is easier to house break a dog ) To motivated him , I will give him an M&M if he goes . This seems to work sometimes . He still does not want to wear pull-ups . I think he is jealous of his little brother , so he wants to stay a baby.
Since , I have now introduced him to the world of chocolate , he will say " Ma Ma , chocolate will make it all better ", whenever he wants a treat. I think he has the right idea , chocolate seems to make it all better , when things get a little rough . :)

NO BUGS ON ME !

Monday was the day from hell!! Lucas had meltdown after meltdown . So, when his daddy came home from work , I sent him outside with his daddy . I thought I would let him run out his energy before bedtime .
The baby was not feeling well , he is cutting teeth , so he was not happy that day as well . I was getting him ready for bed while Lucas was out playing with the dog . My husband was out putting an exercise machine together in the garage . It was not long after letting Lucas out , I felt I needed to go out and check on him . He was talking to his dad and playing , so I came back inside . A few more minutes went by and I felt I needed to go back out there to see what the little guy was up too . Good thing I did !! He had the bug spray and was spraying on him . He saw me and yelled " Help me , Help me ! " It looked like he may have sprayed some in his face and maybe his mouth !!!! Not taking any chances , my husband called 911 while I ran inside , washed Lucas off and rinsed out his mouth . The operator looked up the brand of bug spray and found that it did not harm humans . Thank God !!!! I gave Lucas a good bath , brushed his teeth and put him to bed . My husband hid the bug spray in a better place . Hopefully Lucas will not find it again .
You can watch your kids very close , think they are OK and in a blink of an eye , they can get into trouble ! Wish we had more eyes to watch them . Thank God for that still small voice inside and that I listened to it !

MODERN FAMILY

I remember Sat. mornings when I was a kid . I would get up early so that I did not miss Scooby Doo or Bugs Bunny . Mom would always make Pancakes . Around 9:00 , we would clean the house and have lunch ready for my Dad by 1:oo ,on the Sat. he worked. On the ones he was off , we would get the car packed up and head off to my Grandparents house in Colorado . Those where fun times !
Now I get up to find a whole new world . The family is on the computer , texing someone , on the cell talking , listening to I pods or playing PlayStation . And most do not even know what Breakfast is . I try not to let my house be ran like this . But this is how most Americans are on week-ends now days . Gone are the family times , gone are them going to church together . Most can not even name the 10 commandments ( or even three of them ) But they can name all the beers out there . This is very sad . We need to get back to the basics of life !

HARDEST JOB YOU CAN EVER HAVE

I am so sick of people saying that I don't have a "real" job and in it is not fair to my husband , that I stay home , while he "works ". ( Mainly my in- laws ., they keep pushing for me to go back to work . ) Staying home raising my kids is a real job . And I would say the hardest one I have ever had . ( I have done lots of retail , cosmetology , Rx Tech , been a pre- school teacher , been a piano teacher and a babysitter ) So, yes , I have " worked ".
I love staying home with my boys . And if you don't think I work , well here are some of the hats I wear . I am a teacher, a cook , a nurse , a child care person , house cleaner , seamstress , a counselor , animal care taker ( we have a cat and a dog ) , gardener , handy man , wife , a mother , a lover , and a friend . I am up at 5:30 ever morning and go to bed around 10:oo . Non-stop from the time I get up until the time I go to bed . So, I say ..... stop saying it is not fair that I don't have to work !!!!

FLASH BACKS

For some reason , lately I have been thinking of the past a lot . Maybe it is the fact that it has been 19 years since graduation ; or summer just has that effect on me . Summers where the best !!! I think the summers of my high school years were by far the best times ever ! Sometimes i wish i could go back . Of coarse i would chance up a few things . Like what would have happened if that high school crush had worked out for the summer ? Would memories still been bittersweet ? Or what if i had met my husband back then ? Would we have gotten married at a younger age ?
The summer I had the best time , was my 16th year . Me and my best friend had so much fun !! chasing boys , late night talks , dreaming of Jon Bon Jovi , putting orange cones across her street , going to Connie mack . So, much fun !!!
Now I seat and listen to Bon Jovi's new song " Do You Want to make A memory " and Nickel back " Photograph " and think back to those good 'ol days .
I hope my boys have such good times and memories when they grow up . After all , life is about making memories !!

TOMBSTONE , AZ IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO GO TO . IT IS FULL OF HISTORY . I KNOW SOME MSY THINK THAT THE O.K. CORRAL SHOOT OUT WAS JUST A STORY , BUT IT REALLY HAPPENED . WHYTE EARP AND DOC HOLIDAY WHERE REAL PEOPLE .

THE TOWN CLOSES DOWN EVERDAY AT 2:OO P.M. IN REMEMBERANCE OF THE SHOOTOUT . THEY ALSO HAVE A REINACTMENT OF IT ( WITH BLANKS OF COURSE , AND ACTORS ) :)

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM

I have the ultimate fantasy !!!! Being able to go to the bathroom by myself ( my 3 year old always manages to come in ) and to take a bath without the help of my 3 year old ! That is my biggest and most desired dream at this moment and time . :)

A CHILL DOWN THE SPINE

One thing I love about living here , in Arizona , is all the history . There is so many cool things here . I love the fact , that the " real " cowboys and Indians where right here . Like Whyte Herp , Doc Holiday , Geronimo , and many others .

I live in the Black Hills , in a small miner town called Morenci . As you can guess , there are lots of ghost stories . The town down from me , is Clifton . It still looks like a ghost town today . Down in the cliffs is an old jail cell . This is where the outlaws were held . This was the first jail here in this little town . You can walk down to it and take pictures today .

My sister in-law came down here to visit us from PA . in March . So, I took here down to see this jail cell . This was also my first time to walk down into it . It was the creepiset place I have ever been into . I swear that there were ghost in it !!! It was cold and just gave you those chills like you get from watching a scary movie . Moths were everywhere !!!! And you could still see the skackels !
