Today , I had to take Lucas to the DR . to get lab results from last week . The results from his blood work showed signs of anemia and a virus . The Dr ,. now wants him to go to a Hemologist .
I came home and began to make calls . Well, living in a small town ,things like this are very frustrating . They told me a Dr from Tucson comes down here to do the test . Guess , what ? He does not do them on children under 12 . So , I call the hospital in Tucson , no answer . So , after 6 calls to DR,s Rob finally took over . He finally found a Dr. in Phoenix . However , this Dr wants our DR to call , telling them why he wants the tests done . Sounds easy enough . Wrong ! It is 2:30 and he still has not called . So , we are now playing the waiting game .
I am so sick and tired of DR's and tests !

Did Lucas' doctor give you any indication why he wanted him to be seen by a specialist? Anemia, unless particularly severe and unresponsive to the usual course of treatment, isn't typically a reason to refer a patient to a specialist. Was there something else in the results that concerned the doctor?
